^^ what he said. If you have a 2 or 3 year old 172 and youre happy with it, its the logical choice. You cant buy a 172 anymore, so the 182 is the only game in town. Dont think anyone changed just for the extra 10bhp.
If youre driving it as it should be driven that sounds ok.. try harder next time, with practice you should be able to get it down to 6k for the fronts.. :devilish:
