Good Deal on Clio

I have been looking at an advert for a Clio for sale near me and I was just wondering what you thought of it - is it a good deal. It is a 1996 N reg Clio Champs-Elysees. Maroon, 85,000 miles, all the usual RT features + champs elysees features, alloys (standard champs-elysees ones), MOTd till June 05 (not been used since motd in june this year), 6 disc cd multichanger and 2 lady owners from new. I phoned and they say the bodywork etc is in good condition and the price is £900.

The only downside is that it has no TAX and does not have a FSH (though there may be more problems I will find when I actually go to see it). I reckon I might be able to get it for £800 using the TAX and the lack of FSH as an argument. What do you all think - is this a good deal?

how low do you reckon I could push the price (I know it depends on the seller but what should I aim for?)

Offer £700 - take the cash with you. people will drop quite a lot if they know theyll have the cash in 5 minutes time. If you get it for £800 thats ok, any less is a steal. But have a really good look at the bodywork.

Thats what I was planning on doing anyway. If I go and see it ill let you know how I get on.

what does anyone else think. Should I go any higher than £800 if they wont budge?
