Ive only ever used the Reno one once and it did seem a bit unstable to say the least!! Youd have thought someone would have come up with a better design for car jacks by now.
Do you have a mk1 clio?? If so your probably better off getting the back done professionally, cos it aint straight forward like the fronts (torsion beam, not wound springs). If you want to have a crack at it tho, someone did some pics a couple of months ago showing hows its done.
Oh, and I...
I agree with you entirely on the whole sub+amp thing but thats whats he decided to go for! Time will tell if its any good I suppose, I guess some people are easily swayed by big numbers rather than SQ, he will learn!!
Hi, thanks for the info. I think hes decided to go down a slightly different route however and has been quoted £350 for a 800W Legacy amp and two 10in subs plus a box and wiring so last I heard, hes going for that.
Another question for you however, what sort of price can you do the Pioneer...
OK, a mate of mine wants to get a sub and amp for his Mondeo. Its the 5 door version rather than a saloon, hes currently got some 6x9s at the back and some uprated speakers in the doors. Only problem is hes only got £300 to play with. This has to include a box and wiring kit as well as the sub...
Not sure MLs would suit a Clio, Ben! Although when I get a 16v Ill be putting on Compo MO5s cos they rock!! (Would prefer the 6 spokers but apparently they only come in 18s. Dont want to fuk up the ride!)

The standard mic is a bit crap, but you can get a USB one for about £10 apparently which is loads better. I suppose thay had to cut back somewhere along the line to get the price as low as it is.
Are you going to the Midlands meet? could compare cars if you are.
Im using a DV2 from http://www.firebox.com/http://www.firebox.com . Cost £100 on its own and then a bit extra for more memory. Ive got 128Mb of memory on mine which allows about 40mins of audio and visual.
zedx19 - that explains why I couldnt hear anything on your vid then, I thought there was...
I used a big piece of gaffa tape over the top of the camera to hold it down.
zedx19 - is this down a small/big hill or up it? I assumed it was down but just thought Id check! Also, whats up with your speedo needle, it jumps around all over the place.
That was the best from three runs. One was just over 11s, another was about 10.5. All along the same stretch of road.
I would do a run to 100mph but the file would be ablout 10Mb!!!

Did this on Monday after Id warmed the car up a bit. I rekon its about 10s dead using the timer on Media Player. If you go to the page below and right click on Download2 442kb and then save target as the you should be able to download it...
I agree, EVIL. If you build up the layers its very effective. Its not going to be as good as Dynamat IMO(especially the extreme which is heavy duty but worth it if your going for a no expense spared install) but you save so much, you can afford to put on four layers everywhere and it will still...
The problem with Zetec-s fiestas is that you cant pick one up for less than 6k so its out of the price range to start with. Although if shes got a track record of crashing, maybe shell appreciate the handling ability of the fiesta!;)
Only problem is its a bit down on power, but then thats...
mdjones - just had a look at your car, thats a serious mount for the screen youve got there! Did you build it up from fibre glass and filler and then cover it?? It looks cool!!
Also what rear bumper is that???
Rick
You have a mk1, yes??
Ive been having a look at mine today to see how easy or otherwise it would be to fit a screen. Ive seen it done where the two vents on the top of the dash were taken out and the screen was mounted in their place, which seems like the best option because you cant really...
Ive used some High Band flashing tape in mine. Similar sort of thing to Hugo by the sounds of it. It basically has a self adhesive backing on it thats very sticky so you shouldnt need any heat to get it to stick. However, if your bending it around complex curves thern you might need to warm it...
Can someone point me in the direction of a website that tells you the various laws surrounding lights. As in how far off the ground they have to be etc.
Thanks
Rick
