Id go for the vti from that lot. Its got a fantastic engine and lots of modifying potential (although modified parts are a little bit more expensive than most)
2 Litre corsas are fast in a straight line but too nose heavy to be fun around the twisties, similar sort of thing with the golf as...
DTWD - I think the kit your thinking of requires "Girling" calipers which take vented discs instead of solid ones. Probably best to check to see whats on your car at the moment before ordering.
Rick
steve_rt - is there any chance you could post up some pics of the new discs. Ive been thinking about getting it for mine instead of a 16v setup, but it would be good if I could see what they look like on the car.
cheers

Nice to have a good response. Im not whether to go much further with it. Ive got a rear spoiler on the way, so I might just get the boot smoothed and possibly drop it a bit more and leave it like that. I was planning on selling it in the summer but now I think I might just keep it for another...
Its taken about 6 months for me to pull my finger out and get it sorted but Ive finally got a new exhaust to replace the standard pea shooter. Its a Piper 3 and a half inch inwardly rolled tail pipe in case anyone was wondering.

I read something a while ago about lads who were jacking up their tyre pressures to around 55-60 psi so they could do burnouts/hand brake turns easily. The only problem was, once they were out on the road they had no grip at all and were writing their cars off!!!!
I just recently bought a Piper back box and they do loads of different tail pipe designs including a 4in slash cut.
The K-Tec exhausts look absolutely wicked but like Brun says I think they only do a complete system which is around £250.
I had a similar problem with my JL sub. I sorted mine by sealing the inside joins with filler paste, then lining the sides with sound deadening and finally stuffing the inside with wadding. Ive still got the deep rolling bass, but now I dont get the sort of airy sound with the faster stuff like...
I studied motor vehicle engineering at college for a year before moving onto IT. They did courses in bodywork as well as the engineering side. Think they did evening ones as well as full time courses. Because of the fact that its a bit expensive to buy in cars, they prefered it if students...
Thats sh*t luck mate. You looking to buy a nearly new Clio, or a valver??? I had a look at a new Punto Sporting the other day, looks quite nice from the outside although I wasnt a big fan of the interior, theyre supposed to be very nice to drive as well.
Hope you find a new car soon.

Cool, thats what Im after. Think I might go for the -60mm springs at the front as well but I havent decided yet. Thanks for the pic.
Your car looks well tidy mate.
Rick
My torsion bar is only turned one click so I want to see what it looks like on the next step down. Also want to see the 60mm front springs.
So in a nutshell, front and back!!!
Basically, Im after some pics to see what the diiference is compared to my 30-40mm drop. Preferably with 15s but it doesnt matter too much.
cheers

I did this on my 93 RT. I drilled out some holes in the door plugs and run the cables through. Its a fiddly job and there isnt much room to work with, but if you take your time and make sure that the holes line up, it isnt really too difficult. These are pics that I took of the plugs once Id...
I think it would be a lot of hassle to fit 6.5s in a mk1 door. Probably better to use some 5.25in speakers that will fit straight in and run them off a decent amp. On a mk1 you also have to drill out the plugs in the doors to get some decent wiring in which is a fiddly (sp?) job but well worth...
