Apart from the Renault-organised events Ive never seen a Cup at a trackday.

I had the same with the Falkens that came with my 17"s. Its improved a lot now. I think the tread blocks move around a lot on new tyres - mine were really scary around Redgate @ Donington Park a few weeks ago. Much better now theyve done another 1000 miles.

That ECU has to be great for 1/4 mile-ing - saves changing into 4th.

Or take it to a local garage (not your dealer) and get them to take the bolts out - most will do this for far less than £200. Replace the Renault bolts with some McGuard ones - about £30 a set. But have a bloody good look in your glovebox / toolkit first!!

Most people fit the Pro kit - its a reasonable compromise between comfort and performance. The Sportline kit will be stiffer, but may not accommodate 17"s if you ever wish to fit them.

If you join the club you can get Mille Miglias for less than £800 including McGuard locking bolts from Demon Tweeks. Club discounts really make a difference when youre spending that kind of money.

If you do a lot of motorway miles theyll last a lot longer. Mine last about 6k, trackdays dont help.

Ah well at least itll get fixed, and you didnt fall out with your dealer - thats important! My dealer replaced both of mine under warranty - one fell off of its own accord, the other had a little help from a cone on a trackday :D

It does mention this in the handbook. Keep your mobile in your pocket if you disable the auto-lock.
