That's so obvious, can't believe I didn't think of that. When it fell off I was at my mates house, which has relatively new tarmac and it was a very hot day = soft:eek:!
Thanks Fred! :star:
Its not worth it mate. I know it seems s**t but at the end of the day its just a set of bullets. I would say lesson learnt, use the garage...
...but never forget it, never, just bide your time, don't go looking for him. If you do something and his dad is the sort of person to go mental its...
Okay, I am thinking we should do it on the 13th meet at 7 ish and then we can decide if we wanna go for a drive anywhere. I can't really do the Monday any more.
So now just need to know where would suit people to meet. Originally I was going to suggest the ASDA car park in Oadby (top deck)...
My sills are fucked so there is no point. I am going to get a decent jack defiantly, just gotta wait a couple of months, then job starts, but until then I have no money!
Would you defiantly recommend the jack pictured above
Thanks for the info, I will be purchasing a decent jack in the near future, when I have started my new job and have money!!
Until then I need to make mine safer, will try finding a replacement part.
I am always carful when I jack up my car, i know how dangerous it is and also don't want to damage the car!
I have a bog standard halfords trolley jack and axle stands. When I jack up the car I don'y use the skirts, but the chassis rails under the car. To stop them being damaged I use a...
it's something i considered for a short time. Wanted to put engine and box in, plus wanted lsd from the meg and possibly the some other parts from the meg front end. Bt tbh i aint sure i have the skills.
As for fitting the clio box to meg engine, i was told it wasn't actually that difficult...
I swear if I take a car to s**t fit it takes about 2 hours until it then tries to kill me.
I trusted them with brakes once on my old 306. They let me drive it away knowing the brakes were not working correctly (backs were sticking on, like as in the discs were glowing) needless to say the 1st...
Could the damper be sticking or faulty? Nothing to do with the spring. Surely if a faulty spring was the cause they would be noticeably different in length to have this effect!
So im saying damper is faulty!
None of this makes any sense to me then! Try brentarce they were very good for me. I live in a really bad area and am £800 ish on the cup. I'm 24 and 3 years NCB. 0 points, 1 none fault accident! No-one came close except elephant.
Must be the area, I can't think it will be anything else. I wouldn't have thought it would be much more than the 172, unless it is because its seen as a more desirable car and you are in a "bad area"!
Have been looking at dates, I don't have a free weekend until the end of July. So we can either leave it til then if everyone fancys it but personally I would prefer to do it a little sooner, which means a weekday evening. I was thinking Mondat 12th or tuesday the 13th of july. Let me know...
I think it was used just because the price/ maths making the clio half the price. Personally if I bought a FRS I would get a second hand one and take it to Graham Goode, just down the road from me. He is getting a reliable 370. Then I would put all my spare change in my pocket and go find a...
Noticed that my throttle body is pretty filthy, so whipped it of to give it a quick clean. Just wanna make sure I aint going to damage anything tho. Is it okay to use brake cleaner on it?
With it being on a ph2 is there anything else I can do to clean it up, obviously there is no spring...
Cool, no worries. We can make it for a few weeks time. Will sort out a date. If we are making it a bit of a bigger thing/ proper meet I will try and sort out a better/ easier place for everyone to meet.
I have a lot of free time at the moment so will have an explore, but any suggestions...
Yeah, I appreciate its fairly rubbish for anyone north of leicester, but I drove the route the other day and it was good fun, thats why I suggested it.
It could be a problem, but if its planned so that we go for a bit of a drive then I doesn't matter to much as I am happy to go for a drive...
cool, will see if we get anymore intrest over the next couple of days and then organise something. Will drop a few pm's a bit later and see whos about.
Was thinking thursday this week possibly, but it may be a bit soon.
Was thinking about organising a bit of a Leicester meet. Think there are a fair few of us in the area, so it could be good fun.
Was thinking we could meet somewhere and go for a bit of a drive, perhaps to a pub have a few drinks and try and get a few photos.
I drove out to a pub called the...
I think you should keep saving for the house. But spend a liitle on the car, take your time and keep it in control. If you save loads of money for a house but aren't having fun then you will start resenting the whole idea!
