Throttle Body Cleaning.

Noticed that my throttle body is pretty filthy, so whipped it of to give it a quick clean. Just wanna make sure I aint going to damage anything tho. Is it okay to use brake cleaner on it?

With it being on a ph2 is there anything else I can do to clean it up, obviously there is no spring like on the ph1's?

sorry to hi-jack but were is the throttle body located on my mk2ph2 1.4 ?

At the back of the engine.

Where the red hose joins the engine.

I dont know mate. I havent done it either. Im sure it must be as simple as undo-ing a few bolts but best to ask. Im sure there must be a guide somewhere.

it's just 4 bolts on a 1*2 to get it off

i have a 1.4 16

Should just be the same thing then, TB is just in a different location.

If its the same as the 1*2 its just 4 10mm bolts and un-clipping what i think is the fly bywire throttle.
