Sound's like they are not fitted properly or not the correct springs for your car. Have you any unnecessary weight in the back?
Did you get the springs the correct way around? i.e. the smaller springs go at the back and the large springs go at the front.
Uprated panel filters are the way forward IMO. With the hot weather coming (or here in some cases) you will notice alot of heat soak unless you can provide it alot of cold air! :)
LMAO. I'm not suprised it's sucking in alot of hot air!! - The evidence is in this photo. For a start your IK is at the top of the engine, and of course hot air rises, so that's negative point number 1. Point 2 is the fact that it's mounted right above the engine, so it's going to get the full...
Your completely right, Sam that pipe IMO isn't doing anything because it is not sucking any air in and the filter isn't strong enough to suck it. But the grey pipe because it is stuck under the front grill when he travels at higher speeds he will notice a pick up in torque a bit because of the...
It makes every bit of difference Sam. The material the pipe is made out of, where the actual filter is, what the cone is made out of etc.. Cold air is denser than hot air :) If you have an aluminium or steel relocation pipe think of all the heat it's going to get! And add to the fact its further...
K&N Panel filter in original airbox with 75mm CAF is the way forward :rasp: I decided when I was sluggish as soon as the hot weather came i'd revert back to standard with uprated panel filter and I'm glad I did!! :approve:
I've heard that if you get the K-Tec filter relocation kit it suffers from lot's of heat soak and no power gains except for a more deeper intake roar. Just a waste of money by the look's of things IMO.
I think just the filter cone with a decent heat shield may do the trick. Not 100% sure though.
^ noticed your engine cover has gone. Off to Mark for a spray or just taken off for effect? I agree with where you have put the grey piping, but I dont think the original standard hose (if its still stuck in it's original place) won't work 100% because the IK doesn't have enough power to suck...
Sorry to hear you got shafted a good un' mate, I know exactly how you feel. Shame, looked like a really nice motor you had. More stupid drivers on the road these days then ever!
How much does it cost to get wheels refurbed?
Minor scuffs along the outer ridge, small deep cuts in places and a tiny bit chipped along the rim's too. I think 3 of the wheels need doing.
This reminds me of that thread about that red Pug 106 XN that was parked next to somebody on here. IIRC it had a shopping trolley spoiler, sport looking wheel trims, a halfrauds chrome muffler tip that was wonky and a set of decals and a fat family inside? Similar thing really, probably would of...
F*ck the car - Were they hot?
EDIT: Just noticed you said they were good looking! Sod what they did, I hope you wrote down thier number plate for reference ;)
But I don't think the old codger or whoever buys the car after you will care. And if they would buy it if you put it back to standard, you would feel bit sh*tty really because you have put all that money into it and nobody wants the car.
Nobody that I know who has lowering springs fitted complains.
Plus Im not trying to make my car into a track day monster. It's a damm 1.2. Why spend a fortune on suspension for what? Will it make the car faster? No. Fine, blow 400 quid on that suspension set up on a car worth doing...
^ F*ck that mate. Loads of people have just lowering springs on thier car and it does the job just fine. You dont need dampers at all. It's entirely down to how much the person is prepared to pay. Also im sure most of the 1.2 owners, such as me aren't going to make thier car for track purposes -...
