I saw a V6 earlier on here earlier with the dash insert strips colour coded and I thought it looked pretty trick.
I know from reading some posts other people have had them done by Mark on here and was wondering if you could post some pics up of your colour coded inserts?
Im possibly thinking...
^ Her and other 1.2's are the only cars I can actually have a chance against lol. It's the same with all 1.2's I think you'll find. Fortunately I don't race cars on the road, I know id get owned everytime lol.
I've owned my friend's 1.2 8v plenty of times lol. She is quicker than me on acceleration, but once i've hit third she's left for dust. (figuratively speaking, not literally.)
^ Spot on with that comment. Once I hit around 3k rev's my 16v gradually starts to pull away from my friend's 8v.
That's just a matter of opinion mate. This debate could go on for ages, and nobody will ever be right or wrong. At the end of the day like you have already said, it is down to what the person wants to do to thier car, so I just say let them tbh.
Im happy with my 205's. Personally IMO think...
That is only a 6" x 6.5". You can get 7" x 9" as well I think is their biggest size. They can do custom sizing though on request.
I'll pop to B&Q tommorrow and pick up some black allen bolts and post some pics up with the black one's instead.
You can request them to just do you a carbon cover blank without the bolts. Best thing to do is give Paul a call. The phone number is on the website. :)
You can take the allen bolts out as well. They are just there to hold it down.
Here is the Carbon Battery cover if anybody was interested to see what it looked like:
So if you want a carbon battery cover, get one from www.carbonmods.com.
lol. If it screwed onto the battery it would f*ck your car up, not to mention electrocute you first.
Its held down by 2 allen key bolts which are fitted on the cover and attached by 2 sticky feet. Just undo the allen bolts and the thing comes off. Also worth a mention that you can drill a...
I checked the bonnet catch myself. Didn't need oiling up or anything and I didn't see the point of taking it to my local Reno because they are a bunch of slack jaw faggots IMO.
^ lol. I have hardly anything in my engine as it's just a 1.2, so I have plenty of room. They do lots of sizes, and my battery is the same size as a 172/182 anyway, which iirc is 7" x 6". They can do bigger and smaller sizes on request free of charge.
Just recieved my battery cover today, and I can confirm that is it genuine carbon fibre weave! It is not fake!! I checked the weave pattern and it is fibre material and a 2/2 twill.
If you want a REAL carbon fibre battery cover then go to this link...
The wheels are Wolfrace Suzuka's 17" and I think I got them with tyres for just under 700 quid.
The drop is only 35mm as well, but hopefully once it's fully bedded in, it should be around the 40-ish mark.
Yea, unfortunately being a 1.2 they have pathetic small brakes, but IMO any...
Thanks for your positive comments!
Yea im sorry you hardcorist's but as much as id love to make my car a track monster and 'conform' to normal CS looking Clio's, it's really not worth it on my 1.2. So I just thought id try to smart it up a bit and be a little different.
Still, modding...
Saturday just gone I finally got my car lowered 35mm at Debz and Duncs house after waiting 2 weeks to get a decent quote to get them fitted! After setting to work at about half 11 in the morning we managed to get her on the axel stand and get the driver's side strut taken out after much muscle...
FYI The person was showing a pic of the damage the car had caused thier car. It was you who took the liberty of commenting on thier number plate. If you read the post you would of realised this was actually not about number plates, but a car accident.
Most common mistake is people go with the lowest premium they find and don't read the small print at the bottom which says if they can or can't mod thier car with the insurer's policy.
Just make sure when you insure your car and you have full intention of modding it, check that the insurer you...
What a complete c*ck wipe!
Bet he wasn't apologetic either? Hope you get a decent estimate for it. You not going to claim on insurance? Glad your safe though and hope your car get's fixed! It may be work checking the back frame to make sure he hasn't made it rigid from the impact.
Ouch Carina!!
Your luckier then me though looking around to fit them. A local garage where I got my car serviced wanted £220 for fitting all 4 lowering springs!
Thank god I got them done for a much nicer price! ;)
