renault warranties are dealt with by AA on the road.....I have RAC membership, but when i had to call out the RAC they asked me what make and whether i had warranty they put me through to AA who came out on behalf of Renault.
How weird, i raced the exact same car yesterday! coming off a slip road onto the A3irstrip he gave it some toe, as did i, realed him in within seconds and blasted past with ease
ive raced an 02 S3 (brand new) with a nutter driving it (arranged race) and i was pushing it along. Absolutely nothing in it upto 6500 rpm in 5th where both cars were level. I was however quicker through the gears entering the dual airstrip......maybe it was due to the fact his car did not...
i think (hope) i got toasted by a white M3 the other day up a long hill. He had a massive run up and i could see him coming and i started to go for it, unfortunately the momentum (and the matter of 321 bhp) meant he came past and then changed gear and kept going. I held in in fourth for a while...
Hey im nearly in the 30,000 mile club at 29,700 !
Just had my third gearbox installed and a new clutch. Gearbox was again under warranty and they put the clutch in because they told me it was juddering! i only had to pay £80 for the clutch fitting and price of the clutch. Its a 11 hour job...
Surely theyre about the same bhp/tonne?
I dont know how people can judge cornering ability - this handles better than that etc.
Its 90% driver im afraid. Whoever is behind will easily keep up with whoever is leading (if cars are as similar power to weight etc). The person in front has to...
ive had 142 at about 6200 rpm or thereabouts on the flat standard chasing a pulsar, but with group n ecu and pipes off the airbox (for the noise) it went a bit more to 6500 rpm and about 144/5 mph on the Ai3rstrip.........
mine did this a few times. Did it smell of eggs (CAT) when it cut out? knackered lamda sensor? who knows. Mine doesnt do it anymore. I just started it back up. Gave it a few rev limiter blasts and that seemed to sort it out!
some 172s must be really badly built! mines done almost 30,000 and hardly has any rattles, if any. I think the seat was squeeking for a while, but i just altered the position and that soon stopped. No rattles!? maybe mine was put together properly? (apart from the gear box!)
its done 29,500 plus miles on the stuff and seems to be ok? dont really know much about it. Doesnt over heat or anything and never leaks or burns oil, even with me driving it!
.......in my courtesy boat. What a nightmare!! The accelerator seems to make a noise when depressed, but nothing else happens really.
Cars in the garage (for a change) for "investigation" into how my second gearbox is now crunching like a stomped cockroach family. Also the clutch judders...
Hmm.... not a bad one! its not often that i look at a body kitted newer clio and think it looks pretty smart. This ones pretty mean looking! i quite like it for some reason.
sounds good - im dead jealous! just been watching those technomap vids that dror posted a few days back. Love the noise. Not too sure about the PECO 5 inch maxi-bore pokin from underneath the back like a taliban members pride and joy....
Should be a lot nicer to drive.
Yeah the engines are...
get someone to hold it at revs around 6k+ and see where, maybe under the bonnet its coming from, get a torch and have a good look. Might work?
I always find if mines making a weird noise or acting strangely i give it a good dose of rev limiter, a bit like a spanked bottom and it seems to...
only problem with getting a nova is that youl get laughed at by pretty much everyone, including sorted-Orion owners: http://www.sorted-orions.co.ukwww.sorted-orions.co.uk (yes it does exist!!)
