    Sloppy Gearstick

i've been looking at the kit. i've noticed the ball-&-socket in the current set up has plenty of movement, does yanoos kit sort that out?

    Sloppy Gearstick

no it's not misaligned. it has a powerflex dogbone :) perhaps the title was misleading. it was fine but just after the missed change it developed a bit more movement in it. i can have a look at the bush, perhaps it's moved.

    Sloppy Gearstick

hi, i missed a 3rd to 4th the other day (at high revs, slight grind, nothing out of the ordinary) and since then the gearstick has a bit of play in it when in gear. gear change doesnt feel any different, just the play in the gearstick when in gear. what part have i likely bolx'd? edit: are the...

funny that. NGK spark plus = good, Bosch spark plugs = GTFO Bosch Lambda = good, NGK Lambda = GTFO maybe not that funny actually.

Just done the rstuner thing and....

i see where you're coming from, but given the cost of paying a specialist to do it, it's a case of either DIY or not have it done at all.

Just done the rstuner thing and....

at the moment i'm preferring how it was on the 95 ron fuel!! 0-2k rpm it's better on 98 ron, but after that it was better on 95 ron, seemed to feel less boggy and more free revving. i'll reserve judgement until i've done about a months worth of v power (1000 miles), and i'm fitting inlets...

    £60 v upwards of £250? it's not really a comparison!

Just done the rstuner thing and....

ok, i'm about a 1/3 way through a tank of v power and its solved the problem at low revs :D but now i have another problem, when i start it after a few hours (ie in the morning or after work) it takes longer to fire up than it use to. almost like a flooded engine. also the revs sometimes go up...

Flashing Orange engine management light :S and slight lumpy misfire!!

how long ago was last service? someone else recently had a poor idle and it was due to an airleak with the tb or the upper inlets (which are removed to change the plugs)

Do Turini's have a different ET depending on whether they are from a Trophy or a Cup?

Re: Do Turini's have a different ET depending on whether they are from a Trophy or a alternatively you could get some 40-45mm springs, imagen they must do them somewhere

    Vibration/Movement through Steering wheel

there's only one ball joint on each side, at the bottom between the wishbone and the hub. for the sports anyway, i'd have thought the 1.2 would have pretty much the same set up, bar the arb links. geometry setups can be done by a garage with a hunter alignment system. but on the clio the only...

Play in front brake carrier sliders

it's the hole in the carrier rather than the pins themselves :( did i read that lagunas use the same carriers?

Play in front brake carrier sliders

on left and right front carriers the top slider can be wiggled about in the hole whereas the bottom one is quite firm in its hole. this normal, or worn?

ECU Remap Tune Offer £175 to take 182 to 200bph???

If u want to do engine work for reasonable monies, then Ported inlets, espace v6 airbox and rs tuner remap are well regarded and should give u better pull through midrange. Engine aside, consensus on best mod is a whiteline rear arb. Then coilovers or eibach springs. If u can live with it...

    Unstable Handling

i've been reading about typical symptoms of a crappy driveshaft. one thing i can say is that on a smooth road it's perfect under any amount of acceleration and speed, and i don't get any crashing under quick cornering. i don't get heavy torque steer either. i won't rule it out though. it should...

    Unstable Handling

there's a bit of a pattern developing- a new rack was fitted, it was fine for a couple of days and gradually returned to being crap. i replaced the wishbone bushes with powerflex ones, it tightened it up but after about half hour driving it had returned to being crap. i fitted new solid...

    old rs tuner any good?

although they do pop up on here for £100 every so often. then you need to buy the unlock license for £50. when you buy these you get a discount on the maps which brings the £43 maps down to £23. what most tend to do is buy the rstuner for £100, buy the unlock license from the fastchip website...

Can anyone make me some bits of metal for my top mounts?

Yep, its ground away exactly where the top right bolt would go Sent from my ZTE-BLADE using Tapatalk

Can anyone make me some bits of metal for my top mounts?

I can't. My cup has had the renault top mount recall where they elongated the holes so I couldn't bolt it down in the right position Sent from my ZTE-BLADE using Tapatalk

Can anyone make me some bits of metal for my top mounts?

Just as a big washer. It will sit flush on the body around the top mount. I don't have the strut brace on mine. Just needs to be washer thickness really. Don't want it too thick as ill have less bolt holding the mount in place. Sent from my ZTE-BLADE using Tapatalk
