This ones been dug up again from July 2002! wow. I really like the 306 rallye and a friend wanted to buy one after hed test driven it, but after driving mine decided not to ;)
It could be a case of a friday afternoon car as seems to be the problem with many 172s also. It cant only be an issue...

I get the farting noise. It did this since new. You press the brakes really hard and afterwards there like a "brrrraarrrrb" noise from somewhere. I always thought it was the brake juice being pumped after youve compressed the brakes hard.
As for number 3 the exhausts on 172s go all the...
Cheers guys, i really hope so. Its so disheartening when you drive past it and youve pressed the brake, but then you think - why didnt i press it harder!!?
The day before they had it there with 2 police motorbikes around it and another police van on a bridge further down the road. I hope...
Overtaking a boat that was acclerating southbound on the A3 near the little chef and at around 85 mph i see a police van - oh no, its that speed trap that was there the other day! bngger! anyway, it was a large police van with flaps open and two cameras in the back pointing out. Before the van...
If i had the choice id probably go for a second hand evo. Preferably (probably not tho) without mods etc. Insurance would be a nightmare id have thought.
Here are your choices:
Cup
172
Cooper-S
Focus RS
Cupra R
Golf
CTR
Integra type R
Cant think of any more right now. Possibly some...
the immobiliser should make it hard to steal. How about getting a tracker fitted for piece of mind in case it is stolen. Apparently it lowers your insurance?

EVO VI mmmmm very tasty. My bros pondering a V when hes got enough brass.
Id love a kit car - cheap(ish) depends if you build it yourself etc, fast, good looks, handling, ultra low insurance! a friend got a quote on his Robin Hood with a rover V8 (hes only got the 2.0 litre pinto) and it came...
Id hate to think how many launches ive done off those lights! and how many poor victims have been left in my wake, apart from the cheating bar-stewards that go on orange!!!!! i guess thats how VTS owners claim they beat a 172!!! ;) chrismvts of saxosportsclub beat me off the lights when he went...
I had the same thing happen to me on my way to central london a while back. Going a fair bit over the temporary 60 limit -no cars around etc- and this cam flashed me facing towards me. It was quite a shock as it could have blinded me and i might have swerved into the bank. (thats why theyre...

And i very much doubt that anyone here can afford the ultra-expensive GPS equipment that is actually accurate! a friend of mines Pulsar was "tested" on a "GPS" when his top speed was identical to mine and it read !50 mph, now...
Id probably go for 2nd, -but- it depends on the load youve got in your car. You need to think about if youre carrying loads passengers and fuel etc. If you ARENT carrying weight then how about trying 3rd - you wont have to waste time chaning from 2nd to 3rd and the other guy may have got away...
I love the noise they make those V6s. Definately the mentalist looking standard car on the road! really mean and aggressive looking. One of the reasons why I bought my mk.1 as its like a miniature version of the V6! (well if you close your eyes tightly anyway!)

All the cars were talking about are really cool. All fast and nippy and good handlers etc. I agree with Nick totally.
Hi everyone. Had this argument many a time, dont know why though. Who cares what the stats say.
All i know is that every time ive raced the above mentioned cars (106 gti...
oh dear i want one of those Mini VTECs now! I saw one of those in CCC a while back - seriously cool, and seriously fast! doesnt cost that much apparently........ mini handling and a quarter mile time of 12 secs is not to be sniffed at!
I only like driving in the snow when its in an empty car park. I spent half a tank of petrol hand braking/drifting around the oval round the back of Halfords until a police car came around the back whilst i was doing a perfect powerslide around the corner! oh no, what do you do? i drove over...
If you ask the Saxo boys on http://www.saxosportsclub.co.ukwww.saxosportsclub.co.uk forum they dont seem to rate the LAD conversion(?) sounds like this one was done properly?
