riksy - too true. My courtesy boat can be booted out of corners by holding her on the rev limiter and dabbing the clutch in 2nd, feels like its got 200 bhp!! it would easily keep up with my 172, in fact im going to ask them to swap instead of repairing my car.
Yeah, mine - (according to renaultsport french blokey) - rev limits at 7600 rpm, but on the rev counter display it goes round to 7800/900 rpm, nearly 8000 rpm. Could be the warming up thing. When i had the standard chip it used to limit my revs even when the temp was half way up (normal)...

Well, I think that the cone filter on the mk.1 would account for the lack in performance, as the original airbox is fine (hence, designed by renault etc.). So, problem solved, you have proved that the AP22 is innacurate (13.5 seconds to 100).
