Probably not what you want to here!
BUT...
Your Turinis are ET35....and....when I spoke to Speedline UK before I got mine they did say that they had experience rubbing on Clio Cups with 17s with ET35 offset.....He did say it was mainly on the front when the wheels were on full lock. Thats...
I would have to say though that the place where the wheels were bought from have a responsibility to sell the correct size and offset wheels!
The place where I bought mine from changed my tyres for me aftet I had used them to a better size without hesitation!
Had a bit of a scare this morning!! Wheel nearly came off driving down the motorway. :o
Had noticed a bit of a cluncking from the back of the car so I decided to check the wheel nuts at the back they were OK. Though better get it booked in!! Anyway off to work this morning it started to get...
Finally after over year of problems with Renault they have replaced the last section of my exhaust (the one that appears to have been at fault) and my car goes like stink!
I must have been down on power for over a year. Never noticed it really as it must have disapeared gradually. But I feel...

Not necessarily bigger wheels, just wider tyres!
Wider tyre = more tyre in contact with the road.
Not necessarily small cars it can happen to any car but its mainly front wheel drive. I suppose it can happen more to small cars due to their light wieght
I dont think the ride is any different on mine. At first I thought it was a lot harder but after recently putting the 16s back I couldnt notice any difference, it was just as firm.
Have you also noticed that you do more MPH per 1000revs try doing 70 and see what RPM your doing it less RPM than with the 16s about 200 less
But in all honesty I would change to 195/40R17 as they are a much closer match and the effect is almost non existent.
Where abouts are you located?? Perhaps get another Cup owner to have a look at your car. That would be the best way to identify if enything is wrong.
Im from Newcastle if your near.
Funny story really cos thats what happend to mine! I took it in for them to have a look at the rattle/vibration. They tell me I need a new exhaust, about a week later I have a feck off big hole in my exhaust!!!!! And about 3 months after having that replaced I now have a big feck off crack all...
"tram line" is where the front wheels (steering) want to follow the camber/holes (etc) in the road there for the car doesnt exactly go where you want it to. Happens mainly with wider tyres!!
