The standard exhaust wont last long anyway. Always seems to go between the centre section and the backbox. Best bet is to replace it with something that has a lifetime warranty. Then you should have no problems at all.
The only decent clio mats that Renault do a light grey and look crap. I have them in mine, they show every mark/dirt/crap...and they are £50
Try Justmatz or Autostyle
Well as far as I know they werent! All the MK1s has the same blue/grey dash. I think the exclusive had the same dash so I cant explain it. Maybe resprayed? Or had the dash from another Clio?
I had a similar choice about 4 months ago. Drove both and in the end the MPG of the cupra put me off...one good thing about the 172 is its surprisingly good on fuel which in the end was the winner for me. I have had both a MK2 and now a MK1 and the MK1 is the better drivers car.
So they want to take your car with 900 miles on and give you a car with 3000 miles with no cost to them. SOUNDS LIKE THE WORST DEAL EVER FOR YOU AND THE BEST DEAL FOR THE DEALER!!!!
If your not satisfied with your car then the only option is A) Ask for your money back - in full or B) Ask for a...
I fitted an aluminium bonnet the other day and its considerably lighter than the normal one. One person can pick the alloy one no problem (swing it round your head and everything) takes two people for the steel one.
Ive owned both and Im of the opinion that the MK1s are better built than the MK2s dont know why but my MK1 doesnt rattle, squeak or have any problems...love it to bits and I had it RRs and it was only a smidge off 172bhp at the flywheel! :D
Not sure if this is the same with Alpine but the bottom button moves forwards track and a quick double click switches it to move backwards.
That a Pioneer though with a stalk adaptor
Techically it should increase acceleration but reduce top end and Wider tyre, mores grip but more resistance at hight speed etc.
Personally I think the 205s are a good idea only trouble is not many people make them but the Yoko Parada is a good tyre.
Im going to be changing for them when due!
Ive had both....a mk2 and a mk1 172 and a CTR. Both have there good points and bad points depends what your looking for in a car as they are both very different.
Overall I loved my MK2 and the CTR. I got rid of the CTR cos Im doing too many miles to justify such a car and its a little more...
Yeah you can get a replacement speedo head unit, not sure if you can get just the dials!
try a breakers yard as I would imagine it would be muchos £s from Renault!
Is it right hand drive? I would have thought the RHD cars would have all had the right dials!
I dont think its so much down to power with the differences between MK1 172 and the MK2 172/182 but the fact the fact that the gearing is different. It was the first thing I noticed getting the Mk1. Its a much better motorway cruiser but a little harder to keep in the power!
