No its the silver surround that houses the electric window switches and the electric mirror switch (on the drivers side). Not the handle that opens the door. The handle that you use the pull the door shut!

Can anyone help me on this as my local dealer seem unable to find them...AGAIN! Its the silver door handles that wraps round the leccy windows and leccy mirrors. Want to get some replacements! Paul

Yeah well the paint it better on Renaults than on CTRs. After 6 months with the CTR I had more stone chips in the bonnet than I did after 2 years with the 172. hey Im trying to look on the bright side! :D

It happens! When I picked up my CTR and went to fill it up the fuel filler cap wouldnt come off! I cant imagine it will take too long to sort. The 182 will be bags more fun than the CTR even if its not as reliable.

If you go wider then the diameter will increase! 195 = Width 40% = Profile R17 = wheel size The profile is a percentage if the width so if you increase the width you effectively increase the diameter!

195/40R17 is the best match. Get some PZero Neros

As the title says. There doesnt look any easy way to remove it so wondering if its actually part of the bottom half of the dash??

I squirted them with a high pressure hose tother day and they didnt mist or fill up with water. But I was a little concerened at first!

Which red and yellow wires? There only a black and red clip? (im not to clever with stuff like this)

Just fitted my Pioneer head unit (eventually!!) Works great expect it looses all my settings when I switch the engine off and the facia doest flip down for me to remove it. Now Im assuming this is a power issue when the engine is off. Has anyone got any ideas how to solve it?? Its a MK1 172!

Sorted it! Just modified the back the light slightly and then taped the holders into place. They are help in place once on the car anyway. Need to change the indicator bulbs as they are clear bulbs in the MK1 and Clear lenses in the MK2 light so need some orange bulbs All sorted....cheers guys!

Which Kenwood unit is it?

I was gonna take some last night but the battery ran out in my camera. The antenna on the head unit is a long one but the one from the car is short..sort of like a TV arial and it wont fit, there doesnt seem to be an adaptor. And then where to the speaker plug in??? There is an ISO cable...

I thought fitting this would be easy but none of the standard leads fit into the back of the new unit. Im no expert so could use some help!! There are five connections on the back of the standard unit and only one on the new one! But it does come with a lead that plugs into it and has more...

The MK1 has black plastic handles on the inside and out. Its lighter that way ;) The MK1 was the original Cup ;)

The MPG on the trip computer is not that accurate! Just worked mine out from my last tank... Trip computer said I had 34.1 mpg I worked it our at 31.3mpg Gallons used is not that accurate so I suppose that is where some of the error can come from!

I got lucky down at my local performance shop, someone was fitting Lexus light so I bought his standard one off him! Wouldnt have bothered if id know the bulb holders wouldnt fit!!

OK Im hoping someone can help me out! I have just got some MK2 172 rear lights for my MK1 but they have no bulb holders in them. Now I have tried to the MK1 bulb holders but they dont fit as they seem to be slightly bigger and the fixing are in a different place! Has anyone managed this or...
