1. Rev it to 4k revs and lift of the gas and listen for an exhaust vibration. You could get this fixed under warranty though (if it has any) 2. Check that all washer balls are present and correct.

Have you not got any pics of what to check (for the non-experts) mines just come back from renault after some engine work. And I reckon it would be worth checking.

Thats what worries me about going 1/4 mileing!! I dont think the 172 gearbox can take all that much abuse, its a bit crap really. Same goes for the clutch! :(

I would steer clear of the wheels if they are 7.5*17 they are too wide for the car. It is my opinion that your better off getting an offset closer to 40. 35 IMO is just too different to the original ET48.5. I have ET42 which i think is perfect, but then I would!! ;) FYI when I spoke to...

What size alloy wheel? 16s will fit no problem, 17s will fit without problems unless its lowered! Speedline informed me that they had had problems with ET35s in 17" when lowered. Hope that helps. Paul

Just goes to show different drivers like different things! I drove one and didnt like it at all, felt too bloaty round the bends and it feel all that quick. You wont get any wheelspin with the traction control on!
