I'm trying to find a cheap Megane III wheel with cruise so I can get my daily wheel done. He did a mint job on my 172's and actually miss a smart finished wheel.

Did anyone collate the runs and figures? Would be interested to see who ran and what they did.

For some reason it is nearly always 172 Cups that do it. Open the bonet and the noise isn't there. Back in the drivers seat and it sounds like the timing belt area and s***s you up. Put your ear to the drivers front wheel and you'll hear it ;-)

Yes its the fuel vapour/anti-pollution removal setup and the noise is normally from the purge valve activating. Normally happens when the engine is warm and is stood idling in traffic. Revving it above 2k usually stops ot from happening for a few seconds.

The clutch is hydraulic so its unlikely that you'd 'feel' a fault with the slave cylinder (which is the part that actuates the pressure plate) at cold if it turns out to be this... this is why we need to try and pinpoint the fault before pulling it to pieces and potentially rebuild a box that...

If its the same with the engine off then its going to be a box issue. If its okay when the engine is off it'll be a clutch/actuation issue.
