Never really seen the point of aftermarket HUs. The Renault one is more than suffice, unless you want to drive around BOOM BOOM BOOM like a young scally. Get to my grumpy age of 30 and you'll realise it's a little bit sad. Plus, it just makes the car more break-in-able.

I'm not an expert but I think you can set up what's called an ad-hoc one or something where your laptop piggy backs off the pc. Pc has to be on at same time. Or get a router.

I actually miss the performance of my VTS. The 172 just doesn't feel as quick or as agile whether it is or not.

There is a fair gulf in performace between a VTR and S though. It's not just the extra 8v but it's the gear ratios and dual overhead cam.

I wouldn't have thought there was a significant difference to justify increased fuel consumption, insurance and tax. I'd stick with a 1.4 until you can properly afford a 172 unless you can afford one in which case go for it.

I wouldn't go for an RSi. Either a 106 GTi or a Saxo VTS. I had a VTS, excellent performance and handling. Very nearly as quick as a 172 (whereas an RSi isn't at all) and I'd say a VTS would out handle a 172. I've had both a VTS and a 172. GTi same car as a VTS but more exclusive and...

Anyone use this? Currently on 4mbps Blueyonder for £25 per month. If I switch back to BT line I can get Orange broadband (as I have Orange contract mobile phone) for free, saving me the £25 a month. Just wondering if it's any good.

Silver's the best colour all round. IMO of course.

Possibly dodgy RAM. Look inside your pc, if you have two sticks of ram try each one on it's own in turn. If you've only one then it's trickier testing. See if you can borrow one off someone. I had similar problems on a mates pc and it was the ram causing it.

H reg Clio RL. Mint! That was where it all started with Clios for me driving my mam's old silvery blue H reg Clio 1.2 RL. That was back in 94-99 before I got my old K reg 1.4RT. Don't think my mam's old one is on the road anymore. Don't really see any H reg ones now. See the odd J or K.

Mate, does the 182 back section fit easily onto the 172 centre section? Any mods needed to underneath of car? My 172 rear bumper is marked and could do with replacing and my back section needs replacing and I'm tempted to go for the 182 look like yours. Cheers.
