You'll find that ebay is legally binding and seeing as your car has bids, you're obliged to sell it.
At the very least you'll have to pay ebay the listing fees and final value fees out of your own pocket and then face negative feedback.
VTS/GTi great little cars.
On paper they're not as quick as a 172 but in real life there's not much drop in performance. Handle better than a standard 172, not sure how they'd compare vs a Cup.
I traded in a rapid little standard 2000X VTS for a 53 172. 172 actually doesn't feel as quick...
Oh it is a nice colour don't get wrong. Just think flame and iceberg are better. Each to their own though. I think the old 16v looked better in Monaco than a 172 does.
In my opinion, Monaco blue is a bit dull and boring, Black makes it look like a Dynamique.
Only choices are Iceberg or Flame. Iceberg is a nice everyday colour though common. Looks classy though, shows off all the lines of the car and contrasts well with the black grille.
Flame red is...
I got a 53 silver 172 with cruise and the 6 cd changer and esp for 8500. That was in February.
Had 29k on clock. Traded in my old Saxo VTS. Before that I had a 1.4RT.
Quite a step up from a 1.4 to a VTS/172 (similar performance on those two).
I went from a 2000 Saxo VTS to a 53 Clio 172. Almost identical to a GTi.
In my opinion, despite some of the elitist opinions on this site about Clios, especially vs a VTS, there is very little in it. A head to head race would really be down to the driver and the conditions. The Clio would...
I personally think loud exhausts on a car which is anything other than an obvious sports car are bit sad.
Most people will see a Clio, be it a 1.2 or a 172 and hear the exhaust and think as I do, that it's a bit sad.
When I overtake people, whether I'm ragging the car or not, I don't want...
Well, after writing another letter to their Chief Executive, they've taken in my car today. Manager and salesman nowhere to be seen but another guy was very nice.
Seemed to be going out of thier way to be helpful, so I took a chance and showed him the rattle at 4k and the dodgy head unit I...
It think where it looks like it doesn't fit properly is just the long thin plastic bit of the roof rack thing sitting too low.
Mine does that too. I've just got a standard spoiler on.
Geordie, no sir I did not.
After two weeks of waiting for them to phone me, I phoned them. "Oh we're trying to get you a decent courtesy car, not just any old sh*tbox". That was SIX weeks ago so all in all it's been 8 weeks and I'm still waiting to hear from them.
To be honest, I've...
Nah, nor me until today.
Had a playboy bunny to the left of the reg plate.
Alright looking bird too, tried to give her the old smile but she were having none of it!
Spotted at Shell, Whitemare Pool today at about 3:30pm, a nicely modded black 1.2 Dynamique (or whatever) with a lady driver. 17 inch wheels and darkened Lexus lights. Don't normally like modded Clios but yours was alright.
Cliosport sticker on back window just above rear wiper.
Private...
Lol you're the only one.
Been advertised for ages, posted on here now about 10 times.
Gets ridiculed every time.
It's RANK!
It'll never sell at that price. £10,000+ for a 52 reg Cup with just about every tasteless mod going.
The fact that I see people looking at it as I drive by. No other hatchback looks as good in my opinion, except maybe the new Golf Gti.
The fact that it does not have a GTi badge or equivalent. I like the fact that it's a Renaultsport Clio rather than Renault Clio sport. Makes it sounds a bit...
Mate, woah woah woah.
If I were you, I'd actually get the car first, have a bit of a play with it, get used to it, THEN see what you think about mods. Don't let cash burn a hole in your pocket. That list looks like a kid's Christmas list to Santa!
I'd stick to performance mods and leave...
You haven't got washer jets.
The Cups don't have them. They have black plastic blanking plates covering the holes where the jets would go. You could possibly get them colour coded.
Why has this been moved to media? It's only one pic to illustrate a discussion on a Clio.
I agree with Dan, the pic looks like it's been taken indoors and photoshopped outside. The reflections on the car look like the showroom. Not that it matters.
Think you'll notice a fair drop in MPG too!
I only ever put Optimax (or superplus) as they're meant to run on 98 RON fuel. Currently 101.9p/litre. I get about 280-290 miles from £37 per week.
I drive it like an old fart too which kinda defeats the object. I get about 28mpg driving...
Nice one mate.
Enjoy! Looks spot on.
I went from a 1.4 RT to a 1.6 16v VTS Saxo to a 172.
Both the 172 and VTS are similar performance so going from a 1.4 to VTS/172 is a big jump. Top fun but be careful!
The cables are wear indicators that connect to wires in the braking system that then warn you on dashboard, that pads are running low and worn out. Don't use them as there's no where for them to go on your car.
If you can do pads then discs is just as easy really.
Undo the bolt on the back of the caliper as you would to do pads. Take both of the bolts out and remove the caliper. Tie it somewhere so that it is stable and not going to damage the brake line.
The other metal part of the assembly has...
I've got cruise and limiter on my 53 172.
I rarely use the limiter. I do use cruise which for all intents and purposes is the same as a limiter just the limiter still requires you to use your foot to keep speed.
I use cruise quite a lot now, trying to be a bit smoother on d/cs to conserve...
