What a great trip that must have been. Jumping on a plane to pick up your new car. Like it mate but not the splitter & plate surround...but then that's been said quite a bit above lol.
Enjoy.
I test drove one a month or so back. It is a nice allround package but doesn't quite have that special something a petrol head craves, imo of course.
Yes the torque is massive and even though it was only about 2000 miles old it pulled in every gear very well. Sounded good too.
But, it just...
Not at all, they've been on for about 7-8 months now and have done Bedford the other weekend. Still loads on them.
But, being a performance pad they do squeek if you punish them. Just sounds like a racer to me which I like.
p.s. Had the Goodridge lines fitted too, well worth it.
You'll be lucky to get one changed under warranty being an 02 plate. I was VERY lucky to get one changed on mine and that's a 52, I did have 55,000 miles on the clock though.
There was one up for sale in here the other day, from a cup though.
£360 or there abouts from Renault iirc?
Absolutely right mate, I didn;t like the F1's when I switched to those a while back and went back to Contis which although are quite hard, are a good tyre for the price imo.
Jut replaced them with PE2's in the 205 wide allround. Feel a lot stickier, sure the 'ring will help me judge more:D
I've got the ferodo DS2500's and Brembo standard discs and they're excellent. Don't make any extra dust than standard either.
Fitting them is quite easy too.
Not a fan of bigger wheels on the sports but those turinis on the silver looks spot on. Nice looker that mate.
I've just come in from cleaning my cup, can't feel my hands!!
Nice one buddy, glad Tom sorted you out he's a top bloke. They will settle a bit more after about 200 miles or so. I'd get your tracking checked after that too just to be sure.
Happy driving in the lower hemisphere;)
