Youve got a CUP so it must still be under warranty so go straight to the dealer, dont let anyone else touch it as you may give them reason not to cover it if someone else tampers with it first.
FROSTY:-
Mine has been back three times for leaking Power steering fluid from the pressure sensor union joint (just in front of the alternator).
The first time they replaced the washer.
The second time they re-tightened it.
The third time they replaced the switch as I had noticed the...
The other one is when you pay the fine, make a cheque out for £1 too much and never cash the refund for over payment. They cannot close t down on their system with it outstanding. So although you have paid the fine DVLC do not add the points on.
Had a couple of dashes to 60 at the weekend.
First time from a layby, bit dusty so the wheels slipped a bit in first. 6.55 secs.
Second time, no cars about so I stopped on the carrigeway, got the perfect start, no wheelspin, good traction all the way through first, quick smooth gear change...
Ive had 6 sets pinched in 4 months. Kids and their bikes eh ? I just hope I dont catch them cause they have really p*ssed me off.
1 set was the anti theft ones from Halfords (they nicked the back 2) B*stards.
I better stop now or I will wind myself up all day about it again.......!
"it protects the engine, i hope, ive hit it in every gear in the Cup, i didnt think it would come on in fifth but beleive me it does. Can it be taken off. "
Wow ! what did the other clock say ?
If you get the rsport ecu it will rev to nearly 8000. I hit it most weeks so it better protect...
Thought it may be a bit of a challenge (168PHP) . Easy picking, rolling start (35mph) in 2nd gave him about 8 car lenghts. when he booted it I followed, by the time i was changing to 3rd I was 2 car lenghts behind, then had to start backing off. Slowed down to 60 ish in third for traffic to...
Mines got 5k on it now and it has been in to reno twice for an irratic tick over. They changed my brake switch. guess what ? yes, of course, it made no difference (what a supprise). Anyway they said that because it is a performance engine with a lumpy cam, that is the way it is !! Even...
Did mine in Red at the weekend. Left them on the car did one wheel at a time. Halfords do a Caliper paint for £9.99 (used less than 1/2 a can to do 2 thick coats). Give them a brush and spay with brake cleaner and away you go. Took about 3 hour all in, While the first coat was drying I spent...
Swapping wheels round is definately worth a try, done it a few times myself on other cars.
As for the tracking:- Did you get it done at Reno as the cup tracking is not the same as the 172 and any old garage would prob use the 172 settings thinking it was the same.
That is the improved throttle response that the cup ecu has over the standard 172 ecu. A topic of much debate, but now you have experienced it you can confirm it to all the charlatans that disagree...........
mine has done only 5k miles and has a lumpy tickover. Reno changed the brake switch (on the pedal) and said it was fixed !!!!! No its not, its still lumpy.
