    1.2 mk2 ph 2 clio Electric PAS

That's how Fiat does it I believe with the "CITY" button on the Puntos... either that or it ramps the pump speed I forget now but yeah, it will be floatly light.

STill experiencing slight misfire type fault ....HELP

I sympathise mate as these intermittent problems are indeed frustrating for everyone involved but keep with it and don't let it put you off the car. From the sounds of it the second place (reno tech?) do know their stuff if they're even in possession of a scope so let them at it again. First...

    More Wiper motor help

So did you unbolt the motor from the main mechanism frame? If so are you 100% sure you've re-fitted the motor in the correct position to the frame assembly? Failure to do so means the wipers work in the oppersite direction (Saw someone do this on a Corsa C and they just watched it lock up and...

Hunting on idle and down on power dCi 65

Unplugging the EGR valve/position sensor assembly will only trip the MIL to come on all the time and won't really do much more than make it run worse/smoke like a train and IIRC the Clio II with the '65 1.5 K9K doesn't have a MAF and uses a MAP sensor so that can be ruled out. Diagnostics first...

    1.2 mk2 ph 2 clio Electric PAS

Speed signal is derrived from the ABS ring gear which is interpruted via the ABS Module and sent to the ECM. This then sends it to the UCH which works out the speed based on the rolling radius programmed to it and sends it to everything else such as dash clocks and ePAS that needs the input...

    More Wiper motor help

Scott, did you just change the motor or did you replace the entire assembly? Are the wipers moving in the correct direction when they catch? Mick

ABS Sensor guru required - Noob content

It *should* be okay but the genuine Renault items are around £47 so you've not really saved much cash. Are you 100% sure it is the sensor at fault and not something else such as the target wheel or even the wiring?

Hunting on idle and down on power dCi 65

It sounds like a Level 1 fault and really needs diagnostics matey - I've got a K9K coming in today for a similar issue but i'm sure its Thermoplungers at fault. The K9K is normally a simple enough unit to work on and could be a MAF, EGR or a glow plug/thermoplunger fault but whatever you do...

STill experiencing slight misfire type fault ....HELP

Problem 1: If they're looking for codes on what is most likely a mechanical issue rather than an electrical issue they're bound to fail. Problem 2: You really shouldn't keep taking it to different people; Pick a "Specialist" you trust, stick with your decision and let them see the job through...

    please help!!

It's a 1.2 16v Clio II so could be anything and really needs looking at with a very keen eye. It could be a poor earth or even a short loom issue as they're known for wires rubbing thru and wires snapping so it could be a simple continuity issue. It could also be a general ignition driver fault...

    Service and airbag light

Yep, you can swap the lot and the pre-tensioners are an easy DIY job with the seats out and next to each other. If its the seat bags at fault though you will have to de-contruct the seat coverings which isn't hard but can be tricky to get back right. If after all the swapping the light is still...

    182 won't start, Immobiliser?

That's all good then matey, its nice when the customer is happy with a price to come out and do a job but I gotta say it was a bit of a school-boy error not checking your own fuses.

LoL - Jobs like that are mint!

HELP! Car wouldn’t start this morning!

I suspect a Crank Position Sensor fault but needs diagnostics live data to confirm. Failing that, it'll be an ignition or fuelling fault.

Then you've either not plugged them in correctly or the components in the seats you've fitted are fekkered.

    please help!!

Was it a genuine Renault coilpack? If not then trust not! I've seen cheap coils fail 3wks out of the box when customers "cheap out" on me and this time of year plays havock with ignition systems. Has anyone even checked the simple things like plug gaps and primary and secondary winding...

    Dephaser pulley

Worst case is they fail completely taking out valves but I stress, that's the worst case and they tend to go on a fair while making a nasty rattle though I have had one customer with a unit that failed three weeks after diagnosis and it completely fekkerd his engine which forced a replacement of...

    182 won't start, Immobiliser?

There is no preset hourly rate for auto-sparks... some charge £40 an hour on top of a £60 call out and others charge £80 per hour with no call out. I am £25 call out and £35 an hour. Just be sure your local guy knows what he's doing or else you're paying by the hour for someone to poke about...

    182 won't start, Immobiliser?

I'm based in Nottingham so not a million miles away from Mansfield and would be willing to pop out and CLIP your Clio to tell you what's wrong. If you're interested PM me and we'll arrange a date. Mick

    182 won't start, Immobiliser?

If it were a decoder ring or key fault the LED would be flashing red not be solid to say the code hasn't been recieved. It does indeed sound like an imob fault but you need diagnostics really mate. Mick

    change throttle body!!

What machine did you use and more importantly, what code did you get? I ask as i'd be inclined to check the wiring and all connections before writing off and forking out for a new throttle body. Mick

    182 won't start, Immobiliser?

So when you attempt to start the vehicle it starts but then dies immediately? Have you tried to give the vehicle some light throttle when it starts; does it run or does it cut out on you? Mick

    Help needed

Wendy, where are you based? Either the belt setup has been fitted incorrectly or there's a fault with the mechanical condition/health of the engine itself. I'd start by getting the oil pressure measured and then I'd get a bore-scope to inspect the Valve stems.

ABS + ESP + Service Light

Could you "feel" the ABS working thru the brake pedal (It vibrates and makes a nasty grinding noise)? If so I'd have the wheel sensor targets checked.

Thanks for the feedback - It's priced to be competitive but still make it worth my while and I do the same for other club members on other Renault models to not just the Clio RS.

i'v got a clio 1.6 auto and its playin up :/ can somone help?? please

It needs to go on to diagnostics mate. Could be an oil level/pressure issue but it could also be an electrical fault. You won't be able to guess at it though matey so get your car recovered to a decent, local garage who has experience with automattic boxes cos they're witch craft. Mick
