Im getting mine doen as soon as I can find out which ones are best.
On the K-tec site they state Eibachs do 20mm front and 15mm rear but guys on here ahve said they only do 10mm all round...whats the score?
Id rather go for Eibachs but not sure how much different a cup would look with them.
I saw this on Lee Ms Scotland pics, what exhaust is it. Looks like it sits into the bumper a bit, am I right? I like it.

This is the look Id like, would the Pis drop to this kind of height? If Im right, yozza has Eibachs and different shocks but that kind of drop would be nice.

Thanks for the comment CUPPY, sometimes Id rather have advice from everyone in here than the garages.
I dont want it like a hoover but just sat nicely, stiffer ride would be nice but doubt thatll happen with them.
Right, hopefully this will be the last time I post about lowering springs (I just want to get it right) as Im probably boring everyone??
Just spoke to K-tec and they recommend their own 30mm drop springs. Pis are cheap and local for me to get them fitted but only 25 & 15mm drop.
Eibachs...
Ive read a few posts on lowering springs for a cup and not sure what ones to go for.
BB say they do a lot of -40mm springs, too low in my mind?? They also do the Pi ones but theyre only -25mm & -15mm.
But, Id rather go for Eibachs but have heard theyre not a big drop, only -10mm? I checked...
youll probably stall it quite a bit, I still do and have been driving for a a few years!! No, Im not that bad a driver either.
I find the clutch/biting point on my mates VX200 easier than a cliosport.
(...Perhaps Im being a girl?!)
Ive tried using the search feature and obviously being a blonde and not typing the right words?!
Ive got a cup, love it and doubt ill be changing, even for the biggie at 36000 miles. So, Id love to add some extra jing to whats already there.
Im probably going to get some springs fitted (not...
Well, very mixed views. I did hear tramlining isnt as bad with F1s.
Must say though, in the rain theyre pretty good but Im still taking it easy for a few hundred miles.
Should be getting her lowered soon so see how that feels aswell??
Just had some F1s fitted to my cup (GS-D2s) and Im finding them really squidgy, especially at the rear, they seem to make the car feel like its swaying. Is there a running period at all??
They dont seem as hard as the contis. Does anyone else find this at all?
Just had 4 new GS-D3s fitted to my cup, theyre really squidgy and the back end seems on edge when not going straight!!
Is there a bedding in peroid at all does anyone know? All the reviews Ive heard in here and in the mags say they are great...perhaps its because theyre brand new.
Comments...
Did it make a metalic ping aswell, like a clip was coming loose?
Thats what I had. The Renault guy said there was absolutely nothing wrong with them, but they make a noise. If I could put up with it then ok...but I couldnt!! Did my head in and made me feel a bit unsure.
Hi mate,
Have you recently had them changed? It could be a number of things but I had this after I fitted some EBC kevlar pads to my cup.
The problem was that the new pads were about only 1-2mm smaller, which caused them to move in the housing. So, now Im back on the Renault ones.
Get...
Has anyone put Pi springs a cup yet. The place I spoke to said they are a 15mm drop at the front and 25mm at the back. Im not too fussed on how low it looks but more so the handling.
Same here, electrics was the reason I got got rid of my last car, but it was a bit more serious.
Ive got the Bosch ones from Halfords, brilliant white I think. Ill try another one...
Cheers mate
How long should main beam lamps last in a cup?!?! Im getting intruiged why Im changing them so often. Could there be a problem somewhere that has caused me to change 2 since xmas??
Any help would be apprecieted folks, cheers.
Alright mate,
Thought Id say something on this but it may not apply to you with a V6.
Ive got a cup and recently put some EBC kevlar pads on and this caused a nasty clunking sound. Got it checked by Renault and they said it was fine. But, I cant stand it so have bought some Renault ones...
