Right, got the money for some H&R coilovers and just going to order them from motorsport world. Do I order a Janspeed decat aswell, got the money and theyre only 130 quid if remember right? or is there something else I could get, within reason?
Comments very welcome.
The doors also lock if you leave the car for a while. Be careful if leaving the engine running and getitng out of the car. I read EVO had trouble with their V6, the doors locked when the engine was running and they had to break into it!! Oh dear.
The glass rattles in the drivers door when its slightly open, the headlight adjustment pod rattles and so does the air vent strip for the windscreen. And my 4k exhaust rattle has come back louder than ever!!
Just turn the stereo up lol, theyll never go away.
Try a set of Eagle F1s and then brake, youll see your rear number plate lol.Theyre super light at the back but thats good, so adjustable its great and easy to get sideways if you lift off...have fun.

Thrashing a hired van around the ring isnt in the agreement LOL. Although it could be lots of fun. Sprinter would be more suited I think, theyre always pushing me out of the way on the...
I just spent 2 days driving to Germany and back in a long transit. It was great fun and not bad to drive but BUGGER me, my cup feels like a go-kart now. Solid as rock and fast fook! I should do more often. Even my old knackered brakes feel like 4-pots LOL.
^^^Thats what I thought, Ive seena few posts on here saying its around the £500 mark. Ill give Darlingtons in Harlow a call, Ive heard theyre good.
Cheers
Just went to my local dealer near me (who are a bunch of muppets but theyre close) and they quoted me £233 for a 36k mile service, can that be right? I know theyre not cheap and the woman said all that is done is pollen, air and oil filter change...Im cinfused?! I thought there was a lot more...
Ahh, your mates comments got the better of you then mate, you couldnt do the racing blue? Hope to see it myself soon if youre still up for doing my coilovers, the money is nearly here for mine.
Id just change the oil and wait. I got my first service done for 125 bar but that could be because its a cup rather than a standard 172. Dont forget to mention its cheaper than a standard 172 service or theyll charge you for the extra.
Doesnt GB LEO work for them, thats what he told me when I saw him in Bedford last? Theres also a chav that drives a heavily decaled mk1 172 round Ware with the MF logo on.
Im near Harlow, might have to pop down there. Anyone know where exactly?
^^^ I found the GSD3s gripped really well and I couldnt get them screaching no way as easily as the contis which Ive come back to. Less grip but better at higher speeds and I find they dont have the slightly scary side movement/correction through the corners as the F1s. Might have to try the...
I get it aswell, even with a short easy drive. Ive also got the 4k rattle come back after it was fixed...thanks renault! Hmmm, maybe that trackday didnt help LMAO.
Theres a few modified CTRs in baldock where i work, one with a 4-5" pipe either side (thats 2 lol). sounds mad. Get one if you want a bigger boot and tacky digits on your rev counter:D
Right, need some fellow cliosporters advice. My cup is coming up for the big 36k service and that wont be cheap. My concern is my cup is a 52 plate so maybe a high miler and not sure whether to keep it and do stuff to it or opt for a racing blue 182 and do stuff to that?
I really want...
Flashy can be a loose term. Id say a flashy car is a 330ci or an Audi TT etc. You could relate the 172/182 to the cost in which case not really IMO, or more along the term of lairy which pkimber said above about the CTR.
The wolf in sheeps clothing sounds good:D
Most good bodyshops normally use a dents guy rather than their own bodyshop, Im using one myself soon (5 supermarket door dents down one side:@ ). Id phone around mate. Your Renault dealer might even know someone.
Just coming up to 32000 miles in mine, only new pads and one set of tyres all round which isn;t bad really. Although next month will sting my sky rocket as I need discs all round...so pads aswell!
Oh, had to have a bonnet respray to. A little irellevent but sh*t happens.
The marks are quite deep in places and as its resin, not easily repairable! I used to work with GRP and related stuff, its a pain in the arris!! I might ask the bodyshop as its in for a new rear bumper soon!
Cheers for the comments peeps.
