172/182 isn't worth spending over a grand on insurance on...it's quick but not that quick
Best of waiting a while till your 20/21 to get it under the 1k mark
Agree
Once you start moving into big boost then your going to have to a lot of upgrades (internals & ecu not to mention clutch & brakes) and the costs will spiral.
7psi using a nice, small turbo with little intertia/lag sounds like it'll deliver a nice, driveable setup.
I wouldn't do the graphic on the side in Trophy style....saw a 182 today at the Renaukt garage (overpriced at 11500) with '182 cup' down the skirts and it looked a little gash.
Look forward to seeing the pics & conversion guide
3k doesn;t sound too bad when you think of the results....and also the fact that's the engine is probably going to be more reliable than a Renault one
Agree
He's a good chap and TBH I think he's being pretty good offering to help put with the costs
If it was anyone else crasing that car would there be such a commotion?
Agree with that....some are better than others
I've had 2 years pretty good motoring out of my 172.
Get out and drive it hard then you'll want to keep it:D
Good news on getting the car back on the road
I'm taking my car to Rentech next month for a cambelt...feel quite good in the knowledge it's going to be done properly.
I have had issues in the past with Renault mechanics not doing up radiator hoses/jubilee clips!!!!!
