    My new sub

That's good to hear as I don't want to listen (nor do most people chilling round town on a summers day) some scrotes taste in cheap, shite music. Sorry, I'm not knocking the audiophiles here who know their stuff, just the cnuts who p** people off.

like marmite - you'll either love it or hate it...

In my opinion pretty dire I actually think it would look better without that glittery paint

    My new sub

Probably not Half the idots who roll around town with their sounds systems turned up to the max probably wouldn't know the difference between a s**te system or a good one..then again, neither do I lol

    latest disaster of modifying

Bargain at £7200...WTF? Great, pixelated pics as well

    My new sub

Apologies for generalising but around my area loud music (crap R&B & dance anthems) & big sound systems seem to go hand in hand with goons/wiggers Now if it was someone playing AC/DC at full whack that may be a different story lol

    My new sub

Not a bad argument but no one can see me when I'm driving like a maniac as I don't do it in built up areas;) People with big subs/ice system have to get noticed in built up areas with their windows down and dire R&B blaring out even further reinforcing the chav/t**t stereotype. Sorry but...

    Cambelt and Aux belt

That's very cheap I was quoted over £600 for 72k service
  9. Neil G

An up date on my blown engine.

I wouldn't even trust them to rebuild it I'm with Fred on this....they obvously made a c**k up changing the cambelt...aux belt was probably okay.

    Selling standard Vs Modded

I'd say a good exhaust and some wheels like Turinis that are actually factory fitted on the cups would be fine when selling/buying a Clio.

182 vs 197 vs Corsa VXR

Christ..Escort Cosworth..Lancia Delta....does he want to use a car rather than see it sitting in a garage in bits

Anyone gone from ph1 172 > Cup or vice versa?

And some newer cars are often in worse condition as well so if your Mk1 is nice and tidy your probably best keeping it.
  13. Neil G

    Selling standard Vs Modded

I'm the same although things like a decent exhaust can be a bonus Cosmetic s**t is definately a no no though

Anyone gone from ph1 172 > Cup or vice versa?

Do it IMHO the Mk 1 RS Clios don't look half as good as the Mk2s Matter of personal preference though...performance wise there is b**ger all in it.

    Air Filter - Insurance Mod?

What I am sayig is because the panel filter is a 'consumable item' shouldn't you be able to get away with it on the insurance? IKs are a different story though....visible from the outside and need to be declared
  17. Neil G

    Air Filter - Insurance Mod?

    Isn't a panel filter a replacement/serviceable part though ?
  18. Neil G

    ITG - Panel or Maxogen?

Wouldn't bother with the Maxogen on it's own...as part of a package with cams, matched inlets and ecu mapping maybe. On a std car or in a low state of tune the panel is the best way to go

    Need some advice/opinions

Sell privately if you can....you'll get raped trading it in
  20. Neil G

    172 cup 2003 18k miles 7k = overpriced?

Sounds alright it it's genuinely mint People seem to want cars for nothing these days.....Mk1 s are going to be sub 1k in a 6 months!
  21. Neil G

Anyone else get really really frustrated that they cant get cheap insurance ?

No short cuts to cheap insurance, that's just the way it is and you have to just rack up the NCDs and the years behind the wheel. There are some advantages to getting older....cheap insurance is one of them:D
  22. Neil G

    Bad To Worse

6.5k will get you a good 172....just keep looking. TBH they are pretty old cars now and your bound to get stone chips and the odd scuff on alloys but that's stuff that can be sorted easily.

  26. Neil G

Picking up 197 F1 Team R27 this week

  27. Neil G

    Not a pretty sight:dead:
  28. Neil G
