Yeah agree if your using the original feeds but how do you get a60/70mm cafdown past the original piping and the acoustic valve/associated gubbins? Sounds like people can't be arsed to remove it lol

But if your fitting an IK you'll want to remove the acoustic valve to plumb in a cold air feed and you can't get past the valve unless you remove it. Just a thought

I went for a sports cat as a) I'm lazy so can't be aresed to change it every year and b) with roadside emissions checks and fines etc becoming more common better off with sports cat

I'd try and stick with 5/40w oil really

Poopercross lol Don't know what they are like but I'd personally stick with Green or K&N for panels

Souldn't see any problem using one everyday apart from the petrol consumption and the worry of leaving it parked anywhere.

Why not see how long you can stay at the redline/on the limiter for for....I've heard that can be quite an exciting game.

Spot on Phase 1 RS Clios have a cylindrical filter unlike the phase 2 172 & 182 I belive the cylinder filter is supposed to be better than the phase 2 one (no acoustic valve present)

unlikely to make any gains on the dyno though even though it's smoother on the inside than the OE one. Looks very nice though, just wish it was a little cheaper but I suppose it's cheaper than the Subaru ones which cost over £200

I brought the Green as I know people than run them on big power subarus so knew they'd be fine for the little 172 with no maf/hotwire issues involved. Had mine in the filter box for around a year now and is still fairly clean...easy to knock any debris out unlike the ITG which is covered in...

Haven't fitted one but 60 quid is a lot of money for cosmetics Good s**t though if you have spent loads of money on engine detailing etc

Green all the way ITG hyped on here for some reason

Just disconnect the intake pipe leading to the acoustic valve for more noise and leave the OE airbox in situ

Yep...single round recessed or stealth is the approved CS way to go:D
