I went for Goodyear F1s in the end. They are very very good in the dry once warmed up - a little 'glassy' from cold, though I do need to get my tracking checked before I can be sure it's the tyres.
Seem fine in the wet though I haven't pushed them too hard yet.
Super sticky when warm...
That's a hi-tech brick ;)
So you can't do the equivalent of T-cut to glass then?
I might give the repair kit a go to see if I get any results with minimal hassle. It's difficult to judge how big a problem it is - some days I don't even notice the scratches (never in the wet), at...
PS Seen this, any good?

What I thought was dried dirt smeared across the windscreen turned out to be fine scratches in the glass - clearly the previous owner decided to clear some gravel away with the windscreen wipers or something
In fact, in direct sunlight the whole glass seems quite 'crazed' with fine...
Think I have the beginning of this problem on the near side, but not as much as you. I can just hear a clicking noise on *hard* RH cornering.
How much is not cheap if you don't mind me asking? (PM if preferred?)
Chop the roof off.
In reality, you won't make a great deal of difference unless you go for the full stripped-out treatment, and you will make daily life a lot more uncomfortable.
You're driving faster because you know you're running on poverty fuel? ;)
Dunno, makes no sense. I reckon my mpg has been slightly better on BP Ultimate 97 than on regular, though remembering to turn the aircon off helped  and the use of the car on two different tanks of fuel is...
I've had this too for the last month or so. All CDs load and play OK, bit after a few minutes the display turns to 'ERR CD' and you can only adjust volume but not swap tracks. Switching from CD to radio and back cures it temporarily......
PS I have a single CD, not multichanger.
Done a CS...
Oh my God. I don't even know how to get the side off my comp....err... rig :o
And Keydogg, in't having pictures of the missus around your monitor a bit offputting when you have the p**n on.....? :S :nono:
;)
Is this with the new switch? ie it made no difference?
How do you actually adjust it though? I fiddled with mine and could move it about a bit, but I don't think you could technically call it an adjustment!
They tried this with me when I sold my last car. Bloke on the phone was very persuasive and got quite shirty when I refused to fall for his 'logic' that I couldn't lose out.
I distinctly remember him shouting "you're not making any sense mate!" and putting the phone down on me!
Are these...
Re: 98 octane petrol!!!
The usual statement is that V-Power makes your car faster due to the significantly lighter wallet that you now have............
Re: 98 octane petrol!!!
I use BP Ultimate 97RON usually, but had a tank of Tesco 99 last time as I was low and it was convenient.
I ran it on 95RON at first and didn't really notice a performance different when I switched. In the interests of experimentation, I might try a diet of V-Power...
