That's cheap
Renault wanted £300 for a new OE exhaust for my 172.....comes in one piece from the backbox through to the cat.
I'd still go aftermarket though as it's bound to fall off again.
A lot of it is in the head
My old Impreza felt quick as fook due to the turbo coming in (lag) but I reckon I can corner as quick in the Clio due to the cars good steering feel & handling.
I was going to suggest those as well....you can have oil temp and pressure in one gauge.
Better fitment with senders as well....I'd be a little uneasy at the thought of hot oil flowing around tubes inside the cabin which is what you'll get with some more simple gauges.
Unlucky....your obviously not driving it properly.
Fuel consumption bad in the RS?.....you try driving a modded turbo car which does sub 20mpg most of the time!
S**t..that reminds me, I've got to get the cambelt done on my 02 reg this October as it's coming up to 5 years old.
Still only got 18000 on the clock though....need to get some more on it to loosen it up
Now I know why it costs 3k to insure....Kingswood in Bristol probably doesn't go down to well risk wise for the insurance company.
If it's not nailed down in Brissol it's gone.
Enjoy the car...make sure you've got locking wheel nuts and the alarm works properly:D
I don't think 65k is an issue apart from the point you spotted with the cambelt which will cost a bit to do.
TBH I'd go for the one in the best condition regardless of plate.
I paid £110 for the carbon splitter from K-tec and about £30 for the panel filter.
Splitter (if you haven't got one already) is good addition....really makes the front end look so much better.
I've only done the splitter, Green panel, Stealth exhaust and sports cat.
Just going to keep it serviced properly and replace the pads & discs at some point.
I think they can be removed
All I can say is get it done properly.....nothing worse than seeing limo black tints with bubbles in all over the place due to a shite DIY job.
That's always a bit alarming if you wash the car and put it in the garage straight away....pads just bind slightly to the disc due to the rust.
lol @ andys comment
Black/anthracite wheels would look good
have a look at the ones car in the for sale section....that's a silver 172 with black OE wheels on and it looks pretty neat.
