i think if the pad depth is less then 1.5 mm then yeah that's a fail. i saw a mot fail sheet someone brought in for some parts at work today and im pretty sure that's what it said.
yeah the seats are bolted to the floor, custom x-low subframes using the 4 original bolt hole fixings.
the other thing im unsure of is the other side of the harness is only clipped on the the hook underneath the seat, and that hook is bolted to chassis floor.
so i presume this will be ok, fred...
ive currently got harnesses in the 172, one side is clipped to the little hook under the seat that is fixed to the floor and the other side of the harness is screwed through the subframe hole attachement and held tight with a bolt and nut.
would this be suitable to pass an mot?
tbh, i hardly said hello to anyone when i was there. as you say there weren't much time in between out on track and cool down time!
was you in your car?
well...
i did my first track day on the renaulsport evening at bedord last friday. was so much fun and probably the best £95 i've ever spent!
i was probably the slowest on track but i enjoyed it - which i suppose is all that matters :)
here's a dodgy pic, only one i really got of my car as...
yep the standard pre tensioner set up for the seat belt can be transferred over from the original seat to the subframe of the bucket (i think depending on which one you go for)
it's possible yep, pretty sure theres a guide on here somewhere.
the stance on them v-maxx's looks pretty good tbh. im still put off by the price of them though, they just seem so cheap compared to other brands. im normally one that thinks you pay more and you get more!
+1!
i think there were some 2118's for sale earlier on in the for sale section. keep checking there for second hand ones, seem to be coming up all the time at the moment.
i think we want to go camping, there would be one car an two people going. not really bothered how much it costs in fuel or crossings but i presume ferry is cheapest?
thinking of wed-mon too. that way get to see everything. are all the campsites/tickets on that beermountain.com?
