Okay, a decent idea from Dolan was to have a photo meet at some point.
So, I propose the Golden Square carpark, in Warrington. It's covered and it's central for everyone in the NW.
Google Maps link: here
They have free parking on a Thursday, so I also propose we do it on a Thursday. Say 7pm...
I've just started playing with LR, it's decent enough. It's a very simple tool editing wise, or certainly from what I can see. Try not to think of it as a replacement for PS, as it isn't really.
Nope, but I have modified it to improve the looks (IMO), that improvement has been inspired by the 2002.
How's your chav drift wagon? ;)
I say this in jest, of course.
This is going to sound 300% classic BMW snob, but the twin headlight ones nod too much to the E30.
I have... "mixed" feelings about the E30, but they are such feelings that make me want to distance my car away from the E30 if possible.
I feel single headlight and debumpered E21s nod more in...
Wash your mouth out!
Single headlights are the only way to roll.
In all honesty, no, I've never once considered it, I think they look far better in single headlight form.
Yeah he's right Niall (regarding your website)
It's a 316 to be accurate, as it isn't the injected version. It might sound picky, but worth pointing out for accuracy purposes.
Niall Lea did some photos for me last week, which I love!

Also, I have a photoshoot and interview with a chap called Matt Robinson on Saturday morning. His photos and writeup will be a feature in BMW Car...
As said already Niall, I am absolutely made up with these, truly brilliant work.
The second to last one is a properly good photo, I love it.
Thanks very much again.
Yeah I've read up on the whole "500" rule and that sort of thing. My camera isn't FF so I'll allow for the crop effect.
I'll want to be shooting stars with some of the mountains/lochs in the foreground if possible.
I need to check the moon phases for this weekend to see what is likely to be...
Okay, I know there's a few guides but I wanted to ask some camera specific questions as I'll only have one chance to do this really.
I've just bought a Canon 500D, as an upgrade from my Sony A200.
It has a kit lens (18-55mm f3.5-f5.5) and it also has a 50mm f1.8 prime.
I'm going to Fort...
Hi mate and welcome, only just clocked this thread.
I'm your local rep, although things have been quiet recently and that's mainly down to me.
There will be some meets coming up soon, so keep an eye on the NW section get yourself down to the next one if you can :)
Old BMW's have their ways of getting under your skin.
No matter how much you spend or how much blood, sweat and tears go into it, it'll still all be worth it.
Looking forward to seeing your work :)
Cheers for the kind comments.
It's had a couple of outings since it was "finished".
A very wet journey down to Trax:
Evenings at KK's:
And it also featured in the Manchester Classic Car Show, at The Trafford Centre:
I was actually really proud to have it at the show, I was able to...
I should be buying a Canon 500D in a few weeks.
It has a kit lens, and a Canon 50mm prime.
One of it's first outings will be a long weekend in the Scottish Highlands, would it be wise to invest in a polarising filter? I've read up on them, and with the amount of water in the area (lochs and...
I know (read: fleetingly met at a show and know of from the forum) the owner of that Henna Rot E21.
It's a really, really nice example, and he's done some fantastic work on it.
IIRC he's won a few awards, one of which was from Players last year?
This weekend is the Manchester Classic Car Show at Event City, next to the Trafford Centre.
I will be there with my BMW E21 on display, so if you're around and fancy popping in to say hello, I should be about.
Tickets are £15 on the door, or can be had in advance for £13. Advance tickets can...
