I'd be inclined to leave the pipe in situ, put a nail in the end and tape up to stop dirt getting in and then zip tie the thing to the chassis somewhere....It'll look standard then from the outside. Does anyone know if you can uplug the hosing to the airbox at the valve end and leave it in...

I've got a sports cat on my 172 and TBH didn't notice a great deal of difference in torque levels....throttle response felt a tad crisper though and does pull better top end.

Welcome to CS Good cars and lots of fun to drive. I've had my 52 plate 172 for over year now an it's been faultless.....touch wood.

I saw an 'old shape' R32 the other day in black and it looked very aggressive yet quite subtle at the same time....interior looked amazing. I do think Audi and VW have got it spot on with their performance variants.

I believe the cannister is down by the bumper on the drivers side. Can probably get to it by removing the wheel and taking off the mudshield

Yeah....I've heard the same when it comes to cup versions with the 172 being classed as more 'raw' than the 182 cup. All flippin' quick on the road and great fun to drive.....post some pics up when you buy it.

All that bodykit s**t doesn't help either...extra weight and all that.

Still happy with it though.....fits nicely and weighs half what my Magnex did.

lol Have to admit the Magnex I had on my 172 weighed loads and really swung around on its mounts. Good on them for sorting it out though.

Have to admit the K-tec stealth does resonate a bit at around 60.....over that and it's not too bad.

Have to say that looks great in silver:) The one I saw was a dark blue so the grille really stood out.

Love the R32 but not the new one...it looks kind of odd with all that chrome s**t around the grille

Yep

I went for the Silkolene as I don't do many miles (probably under 6k pa) and so will change it every year.....service on the 172 is every 12k anyway.
