    182 K+n Apollo Problem ????

I don't think the problem is related to the filter at all. Does sound like a crank sensor problem

    Exhaust Paint

Demon tweeks do good exhaust paint...expensive but stays on there. I used some to paint the turbo downpipe on my old Impreza (Very hot) and it stayed put:D

    clio 182 cant wait

Welcome to the forum Panel filter is a good first mod to do ....go for ITG, Green or K&N and you can't go wrong. Very easy to do....just requires the removal of the induction elbow (2 Jubilee clips) and 6 or 7 screws to open the airbox. Good luck with it:D

    water ban?

I can't believe gardeners water their plants/lawns with drinking water anyway....surely the best thing to do would be to get some water butts installed and use rainwater? The situation is looking bad though.....it's going to have to rain a hell of a lot to recharge the levels.

    Brake Discs

Doubt you'll notice much difference fitting those..I'd just run OE or Soild Brembos as suggested above:D

Are you proud to own a RenaultSport?

Very true I haven't seen many 'maxed' RS Clios around so still feel okay driving my car....it doesn't look much different than a normal Clio:D

    Help! Engine cleaner/octane booster

IIRC Japs have 102ron fuel Unless you have the car mapped to run on optimax plus OB it's a waste of money.

    Front Brake Pads for 172???

I've used EBC greens before on th road and they have been good....probably not good enough for track use though.....Ferodo, Pagid or Mintex probably better for that kind of driving.

    Williams V 182

    182 gets my vote

    What mods?!

Put in in the sale section. As for mods fot the 02 172 I've put a sports cat and K-tec stealth on my car retaining the looks but improving the drive slightly. You could put the cup splitter & rear spoiler (as above) as they are OE parts on cup cars so won't look chavvy.:D

    Another new guy

    Chip Clio 172 MkII

    12lb/ft is a good gain....bet that makes a difference in drivability:D

    Help! Engine cleaner/octane booster

No need for octane booster at all....that stuff is good for Japanese turbo imports designed to run on 100ron fuel. Not sure on the engine cleaner.....injector stuff can be good once in while.

    Some advice

I've had 43mpg out of my 172 on the motorway @75-80mph so it's a pretty economical sports car when you go light with the right foot.
  20. Neil G

Are you proud to own a RenaultSport?

Renaults F1 success definately can't do them any harm....although most people (myself iincluded) didn't buy one because of that connection. TBH I don't feel proud to own the car but I actually like the way it looks fairly low key and not much different to the entry level Clios.

    What do we do???

15k is hardly anything to worry about Go for it:D

    2.0 Conversion

Good advice...brakes and suspension are very important if your upping the power a lot.

    Frustrated newcomer

Car sounds nice....hope you have some luck getting it sorted even if it's a case of taking the risk of the missus picking it up:D

    yey or ney?

    Very cheap....sounds like a good project:D
  27. Neil G

    New brake pads fitted....total cost....

Nice one Quite an easy job really....done quite a few pad/disc changes and the only problem I've come across is sticky pistons where they can be a bit of a pain to get back into the caliper to accomodate the thicker (new) pad. Usually use a big G clamp and just wind them back in:D

    Best Airfilter for 182

TBH ITG, K&N and Green are all top notch panels so it's just a matter of budget.

    Eibach Sportline Springs

Sounds good to me....probably going to be my next purchase.

    My Life Is Over

Sure the 1.2 turbo is possible but why bother....seems a lot of effort for not much at the end.
