That kit and the one for the R5 are no longer in production, one they made and then discontinued, and the other they were gonna develope and never bothered, but i can't think for the life of me which was which.

As u33db says the manifold creats the back pressure, you could run with alomost no exhaust and still ahver a silimar amoutn of back pressure
Any motorsport suppliers sell teh single and twin walled stuff, twin walled is VERY good but its not cheap.
Tweeks do it along with the likes of merlin motorsport(based as castle combe circuit), and Burton power etc

Air is more dense when its cold, just after it has been raining the moisture content of the air will be greater....not a great thing for the engine btw.
When the air is denser is contains more oxygen molecules (as well as others, but oxyge is what we are interested in), per unit volume.
Springs are springs, it what poundage they are that matters, not the company.
Springs on stock shocks are fine, afgain, they will wear them out quicker. Yes in an ideal world we woudl all ahve shocks too, but in an ideal world i woudl have 3 way adjustable coil-overs with a remote resovoir...
I think alot of it is how the car is fueling, obvously if its running rich then its gonna overfuel on the overrun, where as if its running lean then its not
Check the electrical system back, plugs(one plug gone is unlikley to stoop it starting), HT leads, dizzy cap, King HT lead, coil(common problem).
Check the charge in the battery.
Check you have fuel getting through
Engine is turning over so its not the starter motor
Sod countng the splines etc, just pull it out, jack the trailing arm up desired amount and push bar back in, you might need to rotate it till it will fit in properly.....sorted
If it won't bump start then thats not pointing towards teh starter motor as even if the starter motor was buggered it would still bump start.
Are you getting any spark atall?
Power graph on an RSi is stright up to just shy of 6k revs, then it drops down again.
If it flattens off i'd get your map looked at.

Fabricate a bracket and fix it to the suspension turret.
Actually the mk1 bonnet doens't flip open even under heavy braking, only opens abit when a lorry goes the other way quickley
