personally i would go for a recon one.
What car is is??
£30 for a boot kit from Reno, £45 for a recon o/s shaft for a non-williams mk1 clio on exchange from GSF....£15 vs the hassle of stretching teh boot over the cv joint
It will fit, but teh one for the lower models curves upwards in teh middle to clean teh air filter (1.2/1.4) or the inlet manifold (RSi), valver is a straight accross, which would be stronger
First comment of several, my car has kept a trophy well behind it round anglesey, and that is running 100bhp, so yes he could keep up with a 172, alot is driver skill and how well the car handles.
134bhp from a remap and service, i think not! Maybe he thinks hes runnign a tdi or something
IIRC this was posted on williamsclio......they recon its a williams 1 on an R plate, and they recon it has a number, does Andy or anyone have that number in their database?
Could also be a conincidence that teh 2 things are happening at teh same time.
The fuel lines can crack and leak vapour, andf the smoke could be something as simple as the oil being over filled. Take the car for a drive for 30 misn to 60 mins and then look for smoke to rule out it being vapour...
If you have a williams wide track you wont' need longer bolts, if how ever you have fitted spacers you will need longer bolts, best place for these are a motorsport compnay, like deamon tweeks motorsport section
couldbe head gasket massibvly fucked in a big way, allowing oil to leak int cahmbers, and tehn allowing teh chambers to leak out causing the smell of petrol
