Ok chaps....results are in...
Having dug out my old run sheet from John Noble here are the facts:
19/01/02: Standard apart from 17" OZ Superturismo alloys and 14 deg C ambient temp. i got 122BHP @ wheels (i am totally disregarding flywheel figures as misleading)
21/09/02: HP induction +...

Well chaps,
I was going to get my car (with HP remap) done in nottingham last weekend but i thought it would be better to get it done at a place i have had a previous run at.
Soooo....on saturday at 12pm i am booked into John Noble to get a power run
I will then put it side-by-side with...

Did palmersport allow passengers/spectator people to sit in cars around the track last time or was it limited to other drivers only (as it implies in the docs)

The current scoop.....
Suspension:
The car was lowered a couple of months ago using AVO 35mm springs and we had a little problem with rear scrubbing (cos i have 17"s), avo are currently producing a set of 25mm springs to compensate, and i think i am gonna just get a new set of rear shocks to...

I am going to see what the outcome of nicks chat to avo is and will have to get the arches repaired anyway so i might get them slightly rolled at the sametime.

As i said in the other thread on the main forum, nick hill has my clio in the workshop while i am on holiday and he is gonna see if he can get a replacement set of springs from avo while its in, but he agrees that it is both unwanted and potentially dangerous if the tyre sidewall was to get cut...
I am on holidat at the moment and Nick Hill has my 172 for 10 days. He is aware of the problems with 17"s and avo and is going to contact avo and arrange for a longer spring or stiffer spring to sort out the arch problems, he agrees that with 17"s it is a little too low at the back and just...

I think my problems also lie with the tyres, which have a 5 -6mm rim protector which effectively is a ridge of rubber that sticks out from the tyre.
This is what causes the problems, so if you get either Toyo T1s or Eagle F1s you should be ok.
Next time i will get these even though the...
The HillPower avo springs are great if you have 16"s...with 17"s, they are now showing their true colours a little. If the car is fully loaded then it will catch slightly.
I am going to have to get some work done on the rear drivers side arch as i went over a nasty ridge which compressed the...
I felt it was sluggish at low speeds, guess there is no airflow at all since the second (bottom) airbox pipe has its trumpet in the engine bay just below the airbox as well
At speed it might be ok, alternatively, get the cold feed pipe from a viper kit and fix it to the front of car so you...

I fitted myself, since it was mail-order
The rims were fitted with tyres etc, its only 4 bolts per wheel after all, the suspension was done by Nick Hill (hillpower) for £146 all in

Its a pain in arse to get out, basically the plastic bit clips inside the airbox on 2 little blobs of plastic...if you tilt the hose up, so the bottom one is out and then squash the top bit you can pull it out.
It is tricky cos there isnt enough room for the pipe to move so it takes some...

The top/front air feed is attached to the airbox with a compression clip, just squeeze the top and bottom on the plastic bit and it comes out, there isnt much room to move so its a right pain, but doable.
The difference in noise is spectacular, however, i felt it adversly affected lowspeed...
