Really thought they recommended 98 RON, whihc if im not mistaken is Optimax, thought Super unleaded was 97 RON? Or do i have the wrong end of the stick again? *sigh*
...yeah and then the windscreen refreezes halfway up the road......
I just turn the engine on, go and eat my breackfats and when i come out its nice and thawed and warm
I believe its something stupid like an extar £250!!!
Not worth it considering everyone has a spare key, simply start it up and lock the doors wiht the other key, or the fob.
Its great where i live, in the sticks, i can just leave the car unlocked, running outside the house in the mornings...
yeah ive looked throguh halford a tool supplier called "Toolbank" and draper, even spoken to the draper rep, and all the higher torque wrenches seem to be 1/2" drive. Might have to invest in a set of 1/2" sockets, seeing as i get draper stuff at cost (basically half price)
I would say the third option, befiantly get it done off the car, if you fir it urself you have to transport it and there is a chance of the paint work getting damaged
I started using Optimax a few months ago, and it might just be me, but the car did seem slightly nippier, but seeing as how my car is only a 1.2 i guess it is my overactive imagination.
I have a 42pc Draper expert socket set, very good, but lookign for a torque wrench and my set has 3/8" square drive and i cant find a torque wrench that goes over 120 Nm. Think i might have to settle for a draper 1/2" drive torque wrench and buy a converter (£6 + VAT - ripoff)
Find a different insurence compnay, mine has no idea of power gains, so i could fit a de-cat and tell them i will get no extra power, just noise and it wont effect it, if they find out it will i will just say i know nothing abut motors and that was what i was told, and hope they dont look at all...
Well see, prob is you cant really spray it wiht WD-40, or can you?
Well see what my Draper Expert Hi-Torq Expert Socket Set makes of it (there we are the Draper rep sed i could only have ti cheap if i plugged their products at every opertunity)
I usually get around 300 outa my 1.2, my m8 had a 1.4 and thrashes it ot f**k, were talking up to about 5500 revs each gear change, he got 215 miles outa his last tank
There a a hot air feed going from manifold cover to the air intake, is it ok to remove this?
Also is it ok to remove the exhaust manifold cover? I is held on by 3 pretty mean looking bolts.
As i sed b4 someone deleted it there was a burnt out one near Stratford, ill have a look when i next go past and see if i can see the colour / registration number.
Please dont delete this as it IS relevent to the topic
Dunno what official stats are for the 1.2 16V, but for mine it was 14.9 secs, and when i did mine it was completely standard engine wise, all i had done was change the wheels.
It is really hard to get an accurate timing with a stop watch, im seriously thinking of investing in one of those...
Virtually all aftermarket pads say that they creat less dust.
People have sed before that greenstuff are kak and the k-tec ones are good, then others have disagreed, i think ill prolly go for the greenstuff ones when i need to change mine
Offsets
having an arguement wiht my m8, if you have an offset of say ET35, and then you buy some rims wiht an offset of ET42, will that bring the rims closer the the car, or push them further away?
Right, to move the dial;s you have to take the front of them off, a few clips along each egade and seeral screws dotted around (5 i think), then you have to remove one screw (top left) and loosen one screw (bottme right) to remove the spedo gauge. There are no wires to the sockets, it all...
Mine is completely different to urs to, ina valver/willimas there are oil dials where ur clock is and usually the clock is to the left of the heater dials
If its the same as the Ph1, there will be a largish bulb in the corner(s) of the spedo dial, if you still cant find it i will have a look at mine when i get home (old one sitting on desk at home atm)
