Phoned Norwich Union earlier out of curiosity - What i understood was that I could replace my wheels with any genuine Renault wheels at no extra cost on my premium, I simply just had to inform them that they were not the standard wheels that the car came with :)
Think it costs an arm and a leg...
Get it mixed at a local spray shop - they should colour match it and it'll be less that a tenner a can. Failing that ask Renault, but they charge a bit more. Think it was about £15 a can when i had to respray my mirror cover. Perfect match though :)
Dunno mate for sure but I'd imagine so though! Can't be that hard :D Maybe search the forums to see if anyone's asked it before? Probably quite a common question to be honest ;)
To be honest though, i'd imagine it would be a pain in the ass to get the perfect mix to match it up! Parked next to a Scenic of the same colour today, but it wasn't exactly the same colour (if you get me).
Right so if I swapped my alloys for a set of eg. 172/182 etc alloys then they should be fine about it? Might give the insurance co. a bell in the emorning :)
Same colour as mine! Didn't know it was called platinum silver? The guy at the Renault garage told be it was "Boreal Metal Grey".
I think it just looks funny on some cars because of the angle that you look at it from? Like sometimes it's bluey silver and sometimes it's yellowy silver. And when...
Classic :D
So if you get replace 1 set of renault alloys with another set of renault alloys, irrespcetive of which model they came off, then the insurance companies won't be too worried? Or have i got the wrong end of the stick here :D
