Mate, I've come from an E46 M3 all CSL'd up and before that an Impreza WR1 and P1. Missing past cars is part and parcel of progressing! Or going backwards in my case :dapprove:
Bah.
Think it was on around 28k when I bought it. Give or take. Pics here of it as is now: http://www.cliosport.net/forum/showthread.php?652028-It-s-been-a-while-The-RB182-is-back
Depending on your software version and firmware, that could either go well or horribly wrong. Not all the 1*2's share the same ECU details. That's why buying new and following Henks instructions on getting the activation map is the best thing to do.
Nice unmolested example. Mine only has 35k on the clock too so <50k cars still exist :)
Exhaust looks standard too mate. It's completely stock by the looks of things.
I went with matt black in the end, but I was sorely tempted by the wrinkle finish. I just read on the back that the temperatures it needed to perfect were too precise considering the weather didn't know what it was playing at. Went with the safe option. I also sprayed the cam cover, engine mount...
A case of pulling the bulb cover off, replacing the bulb and then pushing everything back through and popping the rubber cap back over?
Might get the missus to give it a go.
Not sure they add much to the power output at all, but the overall drive is much better and the car is more responsive.
The 98RON map is how the car should have been calibrated from new.
There are some absolute belter motors in here. The Clio is such a cool looking little hot-hatch, through Mk1 Ph1 to Mk2 Ph2 and obviously including the always impressive V6.
Great pics, guys.
