Thanks Matt.
It makes a little sense to me, but not enough to try and explain it to the garage. I will send the link to my uncle, see if they can make sense of it.
Supposedly you need to get 50% of what ever from the brakes to pass, and I have only got a total of 51%, with the rear brakes...
The rear box has got a hole in it I think, which is why the exhaust is blowing. They have said I need a no rear box.
They are not 100% sure as to why the rear brakes aren't really working. As I have confused matters by saying the 172 cup doesn't have a rear compensator valve.
Anyone got...
I'm going to pick it up now, so I'l find out where the exhaust is blowing from.
Well there has got to be some kind of rear braking, else why put discs and pads there. For what ever reason there is nothing happening back there at the moment. Just need to figure out why.
The car has had its MOT this afternoon, and failed.
Firstly on the number plates, which I knew would happen, but that is not a problem, got the legal ones to put on.
Secondly, the exhaust is blowing, and failing on emissions as a result.
Thirdly, and the one I need all of your help on...
Caraudioplus classes updated list and tuner list HU's as the same, whereas the gadget site asks whether you have a tuner list or updated list HU. Is there a difference then or not?
Or am I just getting confused?
This has been very useful. Thanks guys.
So am I right in thinking that the Dension only comes with a cradle, and no way of securing it to the dash? So I will either have to screw it like Bruce182, or buy an after market cradle?
I think I am def going to buy a dension link plus for my gf's...
Has anyone used one of these Dension links?
Are they any good? Where is the best place to buy one from? How much should I be looking at for a Dension Link Plus? They are £149.99 at Halfrauds.
Any advise opions welcome.
Thanks,
Matt
I am looking at getting one of these for my bedroom, so I can have it on my wall.
Where is the best / cheapest place to buy them from? I am looking around the £300 mark, and at a 17 / 20".
Anyone got any recommendations?
Cheers,
Matt
Been reading this since it started, and it sounds good. Spring would be a good time, better driving conditions than winter, and more driveable for those without AC in the summer
I want one. Not a liquid yellow one there though, which is the colour I would get one in. Did look in to it, might have to look in to it a bit more after Xmas.
You want to try performance friction pads. I always make sure I have got my music on loud. As if I can't hear it, I can't get embarrassed when everyone looks round. I just tell myself they are looking at the car. Lol
Yeah it is greenlight, and everyone has had good quotes from them as the 172 / 182s have reduced rates or something, but they have not reduced the rates on the 172 CUP due to such a high proportion of clio sport accidents being 172 CUPs.
When I was 20 with 3 yrs NCB I was with elephant @ £1600.
I then turned 21 and went with privilege with 4 yrs NCB, it was about £600. They guarantee to beat any quote if you have more then 4 yrs NCB. I protected my NCB and it took it up to about £750.
So Yoz has put all of that money and work in to get 225 bhp for no reason. All he had to do was superchip it and have a cat back stainless exhaust. I bet he'l be kicking himself when he reads this :clown:
I have just ordered 2 PE2's from mytyres.co.uk.
I have gone for the 195's as I can't warrant spending another £25 per tire to get 205s. If I didn't do so many miles I would have got the F1s in 205s.
Her car is going well thanks. She is moaning that she is approaching the 1000 mile mark (only taken her 2 months). She wants to try doing 3/400 miles a week :)
A similar topic here
I have them on mine, and they are not blue at all. They are just slightly whiter than the standards, and would certainly pass an MOT.
Just looked on Mytyres at the price difference between 195s and 205s. The F1s are only a fiver more per tyre, but the PE2s go from £64.10 to £89.60, thats another 25 £.
This can't be right can it? Why such a big increase, especially when the F1s are only a fiver more?
Don't buy the one from Demon Tweeks. I bought it and ripped my hands to shreads on the sheet metal trying to fit it. It just didn't seem as if it was meant to fit (prob me fitting it wrong, it is meant to go round the exhaust isn't it, lol)
Still haven't got it fitted to this day. Sitting in...
