Naith, you know my cars get driven how they should. I'll pm you a pic of my omp wheel, and the state it ended up in with under 6months of use. You like it to look well, the suede will 100% piss you off on a regular basis.
1st off, Gaz are shite. 2nd, I'm sure there are people on here that would be quicker in a standard car (Fred, T Hunter come to mind!) than me on the KW's. I went past a mk2 FRS, damn sure doesn't make my car quicker lol.
Riz's mk5 GTi (3-4yrs old iirc) feels better put together than my brand new 200. Might be worth a pm if you're looking, I know he's selling up soon. His has full spec, xenons, leather, colour nav, heated seats etc. And it's fractionally quicker than the 200.
Cheap coilovers are pointless imo. If the budget is sub £500 stay standard with the whiteline arb. Or konis, but again with the arb.
If it's a choice of the 2, I'd take the arb over the konis.
That matches my experience with the 200. It's easier to get the speed (on road), although I don't agree re the brakes. It's exactly the fact that it is easier to get the speed, and it's less lively at the edge that makes it less fun for me.
I spent a long time getting the 172 to my taste, very...
The ph2 172 and the 182 look identical bar the exhaust (uprated exhausts are cheaper for the 172). There are also more coilover options for the 172 compared to the 182 with cup suspension.
Different day, different drivers? Thanks for a pointless post. Evo tested the Trophy against the 197cup, same day, same driver. I'll let you guess which was quicker.
You're entitled to your thoughts fella. But the 200 excites me far more than the 197. I've driven plenty of 197's, left each one glad to get back in my 172. Wouldn't mind the front end looks from one though lol n
