I'm thinking of a refurb. Keeping the wheels, I'm in the majority (of 1) that actually likes them. Will probably end up with amphasite but all suggestions welcome, including stupid colours.
I'm telling you it's unnecessary. No I wouldn't turn it down. But I would pick a 300bhp rwd car over it, everytime.
It's as much a nonsense as the boys that sc there clips and claim it copes. The standard car (frs) is at the limit, were it not it wouldn't be limited lol!
But each to their...
Looks awesome in the pics. Horrific colour in the flesh, like dirty wet clay. I'd go as far as saying it's the worst colour they've ever put on an rs, including inferno!
What was wrong with lunar? That would of been stunning.
It's limited in the lower gears iirc? And has more weight/tyre width/a diff. And still, with the standard power needs limiting! So yes, it is too much power!
I just don't see the point in 350brake in a fwd car! It's a nonsense! That much power/torque needs the rear wheels involved. Then you'd be allowed the power in all gears ;).
Might I suggest if you're going for more power, cage, seat's etc, you do the suspension right next time? Sorry if that sounds harsh, but for a track car that half arsed suspension. It genuinely staggers me that people will lavish money on power, and then skimp on the most important aspect of a car.
Sorry if I'm being dense, but are you suggesting breaking this one and starting again? Would the sensible thing not be buying interior etc from ebay, and putting it into the car you have, with the suspension etc already sorted?
Was coming to be fair! It's typical in all honesty, you went too far. That's why I kept the AC/stereo/sound deadening etc etc, but uprated suspension/brakes/steering wheel/seats. You genuinely don't need to ruin them (which is what this does to a road car) in order to enjoy it on track.
I won't...
They genuinely aren't!! I <3 the Wills, but you really can't judge Matt's car for how things hold up when going fast;).
If you're billy gung ho on the brakes, 4pots will hold up better. But if you drive smoothly, they are a pricey ornament.
DO NOT WANT!! Mine literally fell to bits, and I'm not the only one that's happened to. The Ferodo's are great, but they need a wee bit of filing to fit well (avoids squealing). Brembo HC discs, braided hoses and a fluid change.
You'll be amazed at the feel/response.
There we go
Who said anything about stiffening everything up?
Can't be arsed. You just carry on believing that the 200 is a no compromise, clean sheet, money no object setup that can't be beaten.
