But it's not in a lot of ways. It just shows that if you throw enough money at a problem, you can solve it. It was a car defined by numbers. They would (and did!) do anything to acheive 250mph. With the f1, the design brief was to make the best car ever made. The numbers were a by-product.

They can, standard is 7500 but it can take 8500. But if you're going to start modifying the mac is sort of pointless? Gear it for top speed and the veyron will accelerate far quicker. Vice versa if you gear it for max accel.

I'd take the mclaren, everytime. Far, far more special.

Tbf the veyron would destroy the mac above 100. But like you, I'd take the macca all day, every day. Awesome acheivment. When you think after all these years, it's taken that much money just to beat the macca's performance figures. But the mac will carry 3 people, and luggage. Incredible.

The later cars have the better engine. Everything else (everything) is nicer on the SC car's. Steering and looks being the biggest things.
