Is the steering that different in a 200 compared to a 197? Because the MCS I've driven has vastly better steering than the 197.

Same sort of discussion as when that gen of hatch was released. Yes they were more capable than cars before. But to become more capable, they got heavier. And no matter how many toys you throw at a car, you lose something when you add weight...
And the weight!
It's an immense car, hugely capable. But much like Evo's/Impreaza's, despite being ridiculously capable, they aren't special for me. I'd rather go slower in an Elise.
I don't think it is. Something like the Vee was unique. Mid-engined, hatchback. Crazy.
The FRS is a powerful, FWD, hatch with LSD. Few of those about, the FRS is merely the most powerful/well equipped one about.
There's only so special a FWD hatchback can be (imo). I'm no Vee fan (don't like the way they drive, not that quick, thirsty etc). But it's a special car, no doubt, unique.
At least yours will get proper usage Roy. Too many Ford geeks that seem to think a Ford is Ferrari-special because of 2 initials on the boot. Almost as bad as Vee owners lol.
I tend to use the setup fred suggested, pretty much as hard as possible on the rear, softer on the front.
(and before a certain someone gets his knickers in a twist, give a f**k that you don't like the use of hard and soft terminology. Gets the point across. )
I may have nursed my car onto the road when my clutch went at Bedford, and got a free tow to freds. Possibly.

Ktec stealth is heavy, poorly fitting in my experience. Noticeably noisier than standard. Yozza stealth is in a different league. Also have a look at the BTB stealth.
