    Clio 197 Vs Corsa VXR

No offence, but I cannot believe that. The VXR is an animal once traction is gained, it's slightly quicker in a straight line than an R26 in my experience.

    Clio 197 Vs Corsa VXR

The 5th gear vid, the 197 came out on top. When Evo reviewed them, the 197 was slower. Horses for courses, both good in different ways.

Doubts over new Renault's aerodynamic performance

Wasn't a great car for the 2nd half! He's the only driver with the drive and talent to do that in a car. Hamilton may reach that point, but the problem with making your debut in a top team is that he's never had to battle at the bottom developing a shite car, which is invaluable experience...

Doubts over new Renault's aerodynamic performance

I may be mistaken, but didn't he gain more points than anyone over the 2nd half of the season, in a far inferior car? I don't like Alonso the personality, but I don't let that cloud my judgment of him as a great driver. Naith, it's Kumar Ram Narain Karthikeyan to you.

Doubts over new Renault's aerodynamic performance

+1. Too much tabloid thinking from people with a passing interest in the sport.

Doubts over new Renault's aerodynamic performance

I disagree completely. He's a high maintenance driver, one of those characters that need to feel 'loved' within the team. Was never going to get that at McLaren, he was basically the new Coulthard with Lewis as Mika. But, put him in an environment where he feels that love, and he's the best...

    snow crash updates

20mph into something narrow but solid like a lamppost could cause quite a lot of damage.

ABS is a hindrance in the snow, the cups are probably loving it!

Doubts over new Renault's aerodynamic performance

As said, not my favourite driver. But he's the only driver out there who could do what he did at Renault last season. The only man in F1 who's fapping quick, can develop a car in testing, and doesn't make many errors. The fact is he's a double world champion, beat Schumacher fair and square...

    New Brakes - 172 Cup

They have great brakes (out brake a f360 when tested by Autocar) but due to the lack of weight over the rear the back brakes don't have to do much work.

True. As you were fan boy. (Haven't driven a newer 197. Your the only owner I've read of making such grandiose claims of it)

Rolling roads results are widely acknowledged to be f**k all use for anything but comparisions. Some 197 owners you can take seriously, because you can have a discussion with them. You however, are worse than the average V6 owner.

Why yes. But TBH they spent more time on each other than me. Kept mentioning bears IIRC.

If it had better steering, was more feelsome and lighter, then yes. But they already have. The 182 Trophy.

Thats odd. Better under brakes than a Trophy, better handling, now faster. And yet still a smidgen slower over a lap. How very odd;)

Gtech's aren't very accurate though. I'd be surprised to see any of them regularly dropping below 6.5 without destroying the box.

The Ultimate Recaros for an RS

Luverly. Helps that the 197 has a decent position as standard. IIRC they can't lower more then 10mm (from factory) without having to do crash tests again.

The Ultimate Recaros for an RS

I've had aftermarket and a Trophy, there was no difference in the driving position (that I could tell). Great seats, but sit way too high.

The Ultimate Recaros for an RS

Aaaaarrgh! They don't make a significant difference. You could probably cut 10mm out by driving naked!
  28. ForceIndia

The Ultimate Recaros for an RS

As I've said before, given the weight of the Recaro's, and the poor drop (10mm) in driving position, there are far better options out there.
