Re: 197 Gearbox's
Mines 57 plate, October 2007.
In terms of price, you will get an R27 in that budget. I paid just under 6k for mine 6 months ago. Ok so mileage was a tad high at 57k and the belts are due now but even still I was pleased at the price.
^ this man speaks much sense! (although of course, I am biased)
I used to love the LY ones, until I saw a few in the flesh. To me it doesn't suit the 197, it's best left on the Meganes.
How about Alport height? Nipped up there earlier.
It's here http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?oe=UTF-8&hl=en&client=safari&q=alport+height&um=1&ie=UTF-8&hq=&hnear=0x48798b17a654ebcb:0x724d2951b711e77f,Alport+Height&gl=uk&sa=X&ei=KVmNUPjLCYSp0QWqpICoCQ&ved=0CC0Q8gEwAA
Here's a pic I took...
I'm just organising a mini meet for next Sunday, a few of us from 197.net etc. thread here http://www.cliosport.net/forum/showthread.php?666929-South-Normanton-Alfreton-Somercotes-etc-meet
Re: ..about to replace my battery.. should I be aware of anything before/during/after
Should be easy enough, disconnect it, unbolt it, remove it. Drop the new one in.
Does your stereo need any security codes at all? If so check you have it before you disconnect!
Cheers for the info guys, I don't think the ring main will cause me too much of an issue. Yes, it will be across 2 seperate ones but the house is only 20 years old and we had a new consumer unit fitted last year so everyting is of a fairly high standard. I'm sure it'll be fine.
Cheers
Chris
Morning all,
Over on 197.net I have started arranging a meet on Sunday 4th of November. We haven't settled on a time or location yet so this is just a heads up.
We're hoping to meet in a good location for photos, so if anyone has any suggestions that would be good. We don't want to travel too...
Just take the battery and small fuse box covers off and it's accessible. You might find it easier if you unbold the alarm sensor too. It's just 1 10mm bolt.
It's Devlo ones i've been looking at, however the TP-Link ones posted look like they might be worth a punt, although I could really do with some pass-thru ones as I only wired one double socket into the loft.
Cheers for the help guys
The ones i'm looking at have gigabit lan connections, my Virgin Media superhub has gigabit connectivity as does my network card in the PC, so hopefully I should see ok speeds i'd imagine?
I've recently moved my PC into the loft to use as a media server for my Apple TV etc. Unforunately as a temporary measure it's connected over wifi. Wifi is working ok, but i'm only managing a 50mbps connection most of the time, and having a 120mbps BB connection obvisously this isn't good...
