What car is this for? the intervals are normally 12k on 1*2 so not sure where 40k fits in to be honest. Has it been serviced since you had belts done?

Only downside as far as I can see is the insurance. The car will be fine, it's no different to any other learner car.

AskMID is the best bet, it wil tell you if the vehicle is currently insured or not. You're only supposed to use it on your own car though.
