R26 all the way (IMO). The 197's aren't bad cars, but the R26 is quicker, and gives similar fuel economy. Although Vee's are getting cheap..........

It's the induction noise,

One of the brembo packages (Discs, Ferodo ds2500 pads, braided hoses). Just get standard rears, they don't do much so no point in upgrading. The rear discs can be bought with the bearings ready pressed in, saves a lot of hassle.

Great car though, paint work was spotless. YS exhaust when he sold it.

I've had both. Felt the ride was better on the prolines, but the pro's were on a 172, the sport's on a 182.

Had monaco and flame, not sure which I prefer TBH. Monaco looks great clean, but is hard to keep clean. Flame looks better between cleans IMO.

Do not get the QS! The most ridiculously loud exhaust. Fun for 5 mins, but you get a massive headache after. On every journey. Ali, I don't like it from the rear because the joins of the arches are so obvious. TBF, I think you'd rather I criticised your kids (when the time comes;)) than a Vee.

The quality's much better on youtube with high quality switched on. Does record sound, but I turned the mike off. Comes with waterproof holder, and various harnesses to attach inside/outside the car.

Always thought that was the only angle the Vee doesn't look immense from, just look a bit odd from behind.
