    what car next?

Yep;). Trophy are awesome, but you can get the handling just as good with well set-up, decent coilovers.
  2. ForceIndia

    what car next?

Just not true! There's a small difference, which a simple mod like sportlines rectifies. And don't forget the 182 comes with wider tyres, which fit the 172 (same size wheels).

    Rate me a tyre

    Goodyear F1's, Yoko Parada's.
  4. ForceIndia

    what car next?

There is NO performance difference at all between a 172/182. None. Unless it's a ph1, they are very slightly quicker.

    what car next?

I've had 3x 172's, a 182, and a Trophy. Money no object, get the Trophy. Much better than a 172/182, but they are more expensive to insure. There's no difference between a 182/172. Sensible thing to do would be to buy a 172, then get it coilovered (H&R/AST/KW). Will be cheaper than a 182 or...

    172-Which colour?

SSsssssshhhhhhhh! Going to be a surprise, allegro brown.

    172-Which colour?

Really tempted by viper green, but would it look cheap? Every photoshop I've had done makes it look metallic, so I've no idea what it would look like. Matt black?
  12. ForceIndia

    172-Which colour?

I'm getting a non standard colour, it's flame already.

    172-Which colour?

Decent lad, gonna have to barter on the price though ;)
  14. ForceIndia

    which looks best ?

Zonda. On a side note, someone's seen a Zonda break down, and concluded that they are unreliable? Mercedes/AMG engine, should be reliable enough.

    172-Which colour?

Going to see a man about having the 172 (Ph1) wrapped, thinking a slightly darker lunar grey, any other suggestions? Was keen on gt3 orange, but think it would look cheap on a Clio.

Thats a more level comment. The Vee has sooo much grip, but when it lets go (in 99% of peoples hands) its a problem.

    Renault Sport EVO Triangle run

Was a great car! The guy that bought it has a cup with serious mileage on it (135k+). He lives close to the triangle, lucky guy!

Isn't a big part of why people love it, because it's a challenge? Like a 911?

    Do you reccommend a 1*2

Just down to luck. Other than conumables, never had a problem with any of the 5 I've owned.

I don't think they are s**t, anything but. But you can't say they are great handlers! Whenever someone criticises a car on here, it goes like this. -You haven't driven one -Oh, you have? Then you haven't driven it enough! -Oh, you have driven it enough? Well you haven't owned one, you can't...

Always wanted one, so read everything I could about them. Then I borrowed one, still love them, but I'll never own one.

Don't forget when renault sent the car to Porsche, they actually reduced the steering speed to stop it's natural tendency to fall into roll oversteer. Thats why the ph1 has better turn in.

    172 v cup v v6

This place gets funnier evey day. A Vee is now better handling than the 1*2's? So pretty much every motoring journalist (who praise the car for it's epic lunacy) are wrong? FFS it weighs a lot, the engine's heavy and mounted too high, and it's a short wheelbase mid-engined car. Not exactly the...
